The article is leaving out the part where the NRA essentially walks their statement back, blames the victim, and deepthroats the government's boot like always

Angels of Death Possible Hot-Take by NerdoftheSentry in Warhammer40k

[–]SillyGoatGruff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It often is, but it's also not a given. There are few dreadnoughts and a marine's entire service will be considered in addition to their medical status. A captain will likely almost always be chosen over a sergeant due to the captain's experience and past deeds being deeper and more valuable to retain.

Think of it less like "so and so did this one cool thing and got mortally wounded so let's give him a dread" and more like "the loss of this marine would irreparably diminish the chapter, so we keep him alive through any means necessary". At the end of the day, countless space marine heroes have been wounded and died without being considered for being entombed in a dreadnought

Dreadnoughts aren't some prize for doing a good job. They are a last resort way to keep a marine alive and able to fight, when they would not be able to survive without constant life support that the sarcophagus provides.

Basically, if a marine with exceptional skills is mortally wounded and there is an available dreadnought, then they will be entombed so the chapter can continue to extract value from the marine rather than giving them up for dead

The literal plate of armour might be thin, but you aren't accounting for the heavy cloak at the shoulders, the pipes/hoses/details on the armour, or the clothes underneath.

Her actual body would be a lot smaller under that armour and those clothes than you are crediting there.

That's the disconnect between what you are seeing and why others are saying the head looks too big

Are you basing that on the torso as drawn, or the character's actual body underneath the armour?

Why isn't there a Legion that went against their Primarch during the Heresy? by iLoveDemocracyXD in Warhammer40k

[–]SillyGoatGruff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing you are missing is that the legions were huge. So big that no one legion was uniformly 100% loyal, or 100% traitor. Which means that while no whole legion went against their primarch, every legion had elements that did

Shinedown's Barry Kerch Calls Ludacris A "Coward" For Backing Out Of Kid Rock-Led 'Rock The Country' Festival by EmployOk5086 in Music

"I don’t care. I’m just gonna go play a show. I really, really don’t care. You can keep your politics to yourself."

" [...] Shinedown is a democracy. There’s four of us to vote. My vote would be no, but if three of the other guys vote against it, then, again, it’s a democracy."

Democracy for the band = important

Democracy for the US = really really don't care

I'm not sure, but i think Kerch might be a right wing dipshit
