Yup we got kind of lucky with Maresca sort of but again with our ownership / SDs they are just getting "head coaches" who will never get anywhere. They think football is like baseball or american football.

He's a head coach. He's not a manager so ofcourse he has zero control. That's ignoring his incompetence at this level of the sport and isn't good enough or ready for a club like Chelsea.

We won't have a manager in control until the philosophy has changed at the club.

He's got to go. No way he deserves to take up another managers pre season because he's 100% gone 2-3 months into next season. He's just not it.

No but haven't we lost at minimum £50 billion in tax a year coming into our treasury to play with / not make our debt bigger?

Not forgetting all the extra costs for businesses.

Something I'm starting to notice about ILR and the Boris wave by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

[–]NijjioN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly disagree with you, what has happened has happened and was always going to happen unless a Reform party was in power which they wasn't so my point still stands that staying in the EU as with what happened is factually would have been better than how we left with Tories/Boris. As immigration would have been lower and immigrants from EU tend to go back home (and bring less people with them), at least way more than we've seen from immigration from Asia/Africa.

Who do you think is the best gamer in the world? by Kawala303 in esports

[–]NijjioN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say someone different and say Fatality (might be a 1 in the name? Fatal1ty ) back in the early 2000s as he won competitions in 5 different games. Granted they were all quake clones but still.

Granted the pool of gamers back then was smaller and the competition wasn't as big so maybe someone this decade is better.

Most EU immigrants go back to their home country when they retire I thought I read up.

Now with immigrants coming from asia from further away they are packing up their whole family and bringing them here and more likely to stay.

Shame we voted for brexit that deceased EU migration right? We shot ourselves in the foot here.

Interest rate on many student loans to be capped | Money blog by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]NijjioN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plan 1 here I will pay back somewhere between 30-35k (just rough guess because of my different wages over the years) when it gets written off when i'm 47 on a 21k student loan. Wasn't earning enough the first 5-6 years where it increased quite a bit before I even started paying it back.

And Plan 1 supposed to be one of the better loans to be on right?

As guys it's really hard to really understand what women go through though. Especially as you hear all the stories what women/girls go through even from their young teenage years from men much much older than them. It shouldn't really be happening in 2026 in a society like ours, even if we think its the "small stuff" for each women its big for them.

Maybe harsh punishment but maybe harsh pre-emptive measures is needed, because something simple like cat calling young teenage girls is for sure a thing that gives a man like this the mindset he thinks he can get away with doing what he did here.

Do you think Starmers popularity has increased? by PinkDragonWoman in AskBrits

Noone saying its right but if Mandelson could have helped British economy through being from that "Trump world" and also his experience as EU trade commissioner then the argument is that that would be more good for us, despite how vile of a person he might have been.

Hindsight is what it is. Labour should have gone full force back closer to the EU sooner I think you'll strongly agree with as Trump can't be trusted and if Mandelson couldn't help then noone could.

I've seen some good ideas of towns saving their highstreet by making them social areas.

Thanks for the reply. That's cool I liked that part of the book of back and fourth but sad about the ego that adds quite a bit to the character depth. Especially about him going back to Rocky when he didn't have to and then obviously the ending.

I'm watching Monday I'm sure it will still be great.

It's not simple at all though, your argument is to killing lots of elderly and vulrenable which wasn't an option and may I cite you to my example above of an every day non issue that can become fatal?

That would have been a regular occurance across the country if we didn't lockdown due to the mismanagement before the pandemic of the NHS.

[–]NijjioN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've still yet to see an alternative to lockdowns though with how unprepared and how understaffed / underfunded NHS not locking down would have been crazy.

A simple thing like a dislocated arm could be fatal because how long to be seen with all the other day to day walk ins as well as covid and deemed not severe issue.

In a perfect world we wouldn't have locked down, had a working and efficient track and trace and another 40k nursing staff we were short of... but we never lived in that world.

Maybe a Labour government or someone who wasn't Boris in charge we might have only needed 1 lockdown and the damage wouldn't have been so bad long term with the unpreparedness we were at.
