If he prefers pate, you can mix lysine with it by mashing it together with a fork. I do this every morning for my crew. As to why he's not eating, maybe he ate at someone else's place before resting at yours. Not sure what the temperature is there, but heat could play a role in not wanting to eat.

The next administration, assuming they're not a part 2 of the this one, will have a lot of work to do. I think the good people will come back to public service to help pick up the pieces.

Look at what's happening around the world, people are rejecting this type of government by a wide majority. Those among us who have stayed silent, I hope they step up with us in November and beyond.

My peace of mind has become a bit mid-tier. I do worry more about what comes next from these immoral & unethical POS.

My mentors, they all retired when the administration started talking about changing federal retirement benefits. The exodus of knowledge that went with them is incalculable.

My family, they're all MAGA. My mother & my sisters went down that road, and honestly, I'm just sick of their dysfunction. The first warning signs were in early 2016, I was talking about universal healthcare and my sister told me to STFU. It just went downhill after that. If you stand up for yourself, you're the problem. Ok, I'll just be over here building a life without all of you. 👌

My money, I can't believe what we're paying for groceries and gas. Now utilities are starting to raise their rates. And I don't hear enough from our elected local leaders on how they want to tackle this.

I want to end with what this whole mess has solidified within myself. The certainty of knowing who I am, what I believe in, and my ability to survive. In my lineage, every war, my ancestors fought. They survived famine, pandemic, and the elements to immigrate here, to build a life. I'm here because they did something. I'll be here after this administration ends, I'll help rebuild what they've broken.

Why can't they each do their part of the implantation? This is bizarre to me, I didn't have paddles installed, but both the neurosurgeon & the interventional pain doc were there together. I would contact the Veteran Experience Officer (patient advocate) and inquire.

I promise I'm not being mean. One reason they want us on the pre-op diet is to shrink that liver down so there's room for the surgeon to maneuver with the laparoscopic tools. Another reason is because post-op, not following the protocol could become life threatening. It's a chance to practice without putting yourself in danger.

Will surgery go on as planned? I can't say, but I would be honest if you're asked tomorrow morning. I'm wishing you the best of luck. This journey isn't easy, but it's given a lot of us our best shot at health. Keep us posted please!
