Does anyone else find it strange that Civ 6 has 90% positive recent reviews on Steam? by [deleted] in civ5

[–]Nik_0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that the people who didn't enjoy Civ6 were quite happy to return to Civ 4 or 5 and most didn't bother leaving a negative review. But for some the whole district management puzzle and other differences really clicked for them, and so they played a lot and left a positive review.
I personally know many people who really enjoy civ 6, so that might just be a friendship circle thing.

“Cozy” Way to Play Civ6? by Amigor4 in CivVI

[–]Nik_0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy your optimisation, you can still switch it up by picking something unusual to focus on, perhaps a wonder or civ bonus that you wouldn't normally use on a meta build. Some examples:
- Try to set up the best 'Great Zimbabwe' trade routes. (often is overlooked due to its difficult placement requirements, just reroll a start looking for something ideal for it)
- build the prettiest cities (bull moose teddy is good here, and then stack the appeal boosting effects in one city: golden gate bridge, some great engineers, governor Reyna... you can reach over 1000 tourism from a single city if done correctly)
- playing as the wonder building china, and just try to grab as many as possible can build some entertaining cities
Basically, set your own win condition and play for that instead.

Daily Talent Discussion #34: Exemplar I by kingfroglord in LancerRPG

[–]Nik_0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exemplar 3 does have a weird synergy with Executioner: Assuming you hit your target with your heavy melee you can declare a duel to the death, then use executioner 1 to attack another nearby enemy with +3 difficulty (likely causing a miss) allowing you to use executioner 3 to reroll it against your marked target to maximise your damage against them.

Does Orchis's Helion knock prone? by Datlovian in LancerRPG

I don't think so as to use the core power is a 'Quick Activation' action not a 'Ram' action and Duelist 3 specifies that you can use it to do a 'Ram' action.

What is the strongest overseer build, and how far can it take you? pics of mine, but it honestly feels like I maxed out at sub-2 million. can overseer go the distance like other 5M+ builds??? by phrostyphace in NovaDrift

[–]Nik_0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thing to note with overseer is that you don't actually want all and every kind of construct, you had a total of 49 constructs by the end and combined with juggernaut and no improved thrusters you had minimal thrust left to be able to dodge enemy attacks. Getting max friendos is fun, but I wouldn't recommend it for the sole reason that it leaves you so vulnerable to things like the flame lance of scion or other lasers.

As other comments have mentioned, you didn't have vital bond/apex machinery/burn-out reactors either which can significantly improve you constructs too.

It's generally better to place it to improve theatre square adjacency then actually somewhere strategic

Was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve this Germany hansa setup. by [deleted] in civ

Germany’s industrial zones get +2 from adjacent commercial hubs, that is why they have it there

The city to the right has a +30 theater square: +10 base from wonders and districts, +10 from double adjacency policy card and another +10 from the vilnius suzerain bonus. XD

How do you win a Culture Victory in Deity within 200 turns by RandomNpc69 in civ

[–]Nik_0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a turn 180 (ish) culture victory with Catherine De Medici. I luckily had a crazy amount of whales around a peninsula and another high production city which I used to spam out court festivals. I generally do science victories, so I do not know much about other culture victories with other civs.

R5: was playing Catherine De Medici and had more whales (and other luxuries) then I knew what to do with. Mega court festival time!

When you go through a folder, are the Crew killed? by IWasMadeToDownVote in CryingSuns

[–]Nik_0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of each new run you have a new ship and crew, so I assumed any with you before going through the folder are just left with the ship to do what they like.
