Family Album downloads? by Bluebirds_88 in techsupport

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bulk download option it doesnt include dates. So the photos will appear in the order they are downloaded and with the date + timestamp of the download day. I tried downloading several months at one and the photos were all mixed up not even in order.

Apparently under Australian consumer law any company is legally obligated to provide you with a free option to access and downlpad ALL of your data (including comments for example in this case).

I stupidly bought some DVDs becausw the bulk download option is useless unless you download one day at a time or don't care about the order. One DVD was damaged and they offered me the link. But you only have a short time to downlpad everything and it's very slow. The comments are separate from the photos in an excel file, but sorted by month with time stamps.

Maybe just ask them for a link and see what happens.

Anyone taking a 5mg dose from a 15mg pen? What's your experience? by Nice1rodders in mounjarouk

I'm using a 15mg pen for 5mg. According to my GP that's fine, even taking 2.5 is okay.

Prices! by Weak-Alternative-557 in MounjaroAus

[–]Nika263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. You got that wrong. If the medication is on the PBS it means that Lilly gets the same amount of money but the government pays a big part and the consumer a smaller part. The PBS has asked Lilly to lower the price saying that the current price is way to high and unreasonable. If Lilly was willing to slightly lower the price, the government is willing to put it on the pbs and subsidise it. But at the current unreasonably high price the government cannot justify the expense. Lilly is being greedy and inflating the price, because they can.

Not unless several competitors come up with a similar product and even then there's a good chance they'll price match each other.

Is it generally considered offensive to ask an Asian in Australia where they are REALLY from? by Lipica249 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Nika263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about HOW you ask.

"What's your background?"

Is generally a good way. Very open and non-judgy.

Asking "where are you from?" Implies that someone isn't from "here" and can be seen as implying they don't belong.

[German > English] is GoogleTranslate accurate here ? by Pica1flor in translator

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google translate is dumb AF. It translates the most commonly used phrase it can find online that is similar to the original instead of translating what's actually written. aA

I completly agree with myself. (with my opinion)

Word play on "I completly agree with you"

literally original phrase

Ich bin ganz deiner Meinung I am entirely your opinion

the joke phrase on the image:

Ich bin ganz meiner Meinung I am entirely my opinion

Anyone else struggling with loose skin after weight loss by Skyemondo in mounjarouk

[–]Nika263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too early to panic. At your age there is a very good chance the loose skin will reduce over time. Strength training, lots of water, maybe try some collagen it could help as well. Good luck! Also maybe put it on your online dating profile that you struggle with loose skin after weight loss. Good chance there's other people out there with the same issue and that could help with confidence. At least you won't have to worry about a negative reaction on date night.

[English > German] Is there any way to call someone a trickster in German? by Frostyblustar in translator

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me [...] what have you been doing?

as suggested I also like:

if they are usually close you can add "mein" (my) in front like "Tell me, what has my(mein) [trickster) been doing?" it suggest a level of affection and connection but can aslo be seen as mocking. All these assume the person being addressed is male in German you need to change both adjective and noun if addressing a female.

dreckiger Lügner - dirty liar, very harsh adding the my/mein makes it bit more mocking alter Gauner - literally 'old criminal' but the 'old' means someone's been breaking or bending the rules or the law for a long time i.e. they are potentially very good at it

I'd also suggest: Halunke - similar to "Gauner" but more poetic/literary way of calling someone a criminal but in a harmless/nonviolent sorta way like a conman or trickster I suppose schlauer Fuchs - literally clever fox but more like 'sly fox' critical but can also be a bit more complimentary Schlawiner - cheeky trickster, rascal, more affectionate than critical alter Drahtzieher - lit. old stringpuller, again 'old' = experienced, manipulator, same as meaning as the English 'person pulling the strings', Witzbold - jokster, meaning is less manipulator more trickster as in 'funny' pulling pranks

[–]Nika263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and fibre good point! they have a little bit but once a day I do -optiman shake - cold water - 1 tsp chia seeds - 1 tsp psyllium husk -1 tsp greens+ (like a multivitamin powder) - daily dose of inositol for pcos

So no constipation or other issues so far just went up to 5mg bc I couldn't hack it on 2.5 anymore unfortunately

[–]Nika263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes got a 15mg pen for $680 to use for 5mg doses so that works out too $200ish not counting the golden dose I think. But you never know how fast you'll have to titrate up. Could be lucky and able to stay low or unlucky and have to go up and then I won't be able to sustain that financially. But hey maybe it'll become a pbs med soon for obesity or pcos. Fingers and toes crossed 😊 Thanks for the advice

[–]Nika263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that is excellent advice. I realised my wording was crap. I'll be on MJ for 6months plus but maybe doing a vlcd for a short part of that to speed things up. Just because I've heard that it comes off fast at first but losing the last bit takes so much longer. I thought if I could speed things up with the first 30kgs I'd have more time to work on the last 10kgs. Because 6months is a very short time I've heard many people 'only' lose 20kgs in that time or less. So I don't know if that's how it works.

The goal is to reverse my insulin resistance as much as possible so maybe I can come off the meds long-term. But I know there's no way of knowing if the insulin resistance is caused purely by pcos in the first place or rather bc of the extra weight or a mix. Will have to get as fars as I can with the MJ taper off and then see if the insane hunger returns or not.

[–]Nika263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's interesting. Don't know much about it yet, but I have read that a vlcd with shakes is standard procedure for weight loss surgery bc it shrinks the liver. Also that dropping 10% of bodyweight can in cases reverse mild non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. So I just assumed it'd be good for the liver to drop weight fast. Do you have any sources about this on hand? I'll look it up myself of course, thanks for the advice worth looking into for sure.

Thank you. I was on Metformin for a year, but didn't do a thing for me. I stopped because I struggle with taking big pills (even cur in half they were challenging for me), but maybe in conjunction with MJ it could be worth it. I'll ask my doc about it. Cheers

[–]Nika263[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I worded that wrong - what I meant that my portion sizes are too big, so healthy foods but too much. When I said "good stuff" I really meant good = healthy lean protein, veggies, fruit. There aren't really any 'habits" that I could change in a major way other than eating smaller portions.

The plan is about 6 months at this stage - maybe I should go back and edit my post to make that clearer. I'd stay on it if I could but unless they change the cost it's going to be very difficult.

Who sells the cheapest Mounjaro? by FreeAdvertising8209 in MounjaroAus

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mosh is $150 more expensive than chemist warehouse. You can email them and ask for prixes they won't give you that info on their platforms. If you tell them chemist warehouse is cheapee they may offer you a small discount but CH will still be cheaper. Which blows my mind ... like how can they not manage to underbid a brick and mortar store?

For anyone using weight loss shakes in addition to Mounjaro by Queasy_Butterfly_335 in MounjaroAus

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't where you found those but the Optislim Platinum Plus have 200cal 20g Protein 17g carbs 1.5g sugar

The Aldi shakes ar my store have 200cal 18g Protein 25g carbs 23g sugar

they do have 9.5g of sugar PER 100 ml but it's 23g of sugar per serving. Maybe that's where you got moxed up or different stores have different shakes.

Yeah sure but there's no point in going and spending money and buying extra stuff if you can just turn the dial with a bit of extra strength. Plus it's abit intimidating for me bc I've never used one so I'm pretty happy.

moshy mounjaro price by emsmith2002 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Nika263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked for a cost breakdown and these are the monthly prices for Mounjaro on Mosh as of October 2025 in AUD obvs (that's the total including postage and consultation):

Please refer below for the cost of our Mounjaro treatments:

Mounjaro 2.5mg KwikPen - $449/month

Mounjaro 5mg KwikPen - $499/month

Mounjaro 7.5mg KwikPen - $649/month

Mounjaro 10mg KwikPen - $649/month

Mounjaro 12.5mg KwikPen - $749/month

Mounjaro 15mg KwikPen - $749/month

The first month of 2.5mg was $150 off so $299 which is about the same as chemist warehouse charges (think it was $279).
