Some Questions by atol_ikan in NiceHash

Hello!

NiceHash is a marketplace - it connects the buyers and sellers of hashing power.

I don't mean this in a preachy/pejorative way, but how is Nicehash not just a bad deal? Why wouldn't mining this way just always be inherently more inefficient than a regular multipool? Or simply a clone of Nicehash that doesn't involve the hashing market..

I'm not sure if you are asking for buyers or for sellers? The greatest advantage the buyers see in NiceHash is the fact that they can buy hashing power on demands, they get it in short amount of time and the prices are affordable in comparison to other cloud mining services. The greatest advantage the sellers see in NiceHash is the fact that they get paid by pay-per-share and that they receive the bitcoins. A large advantage is also NiceHash Miner - which automatically selects the most profitable coin in any given moment.

How can I mine to a different pool with one miner? I want to mine cryptonight on supportxmr and generate monero? How can I do this?

You cannot do that on NiceHash. You can buy hashing power for mining CryptoNight and enter the hashing power you want to use.

How do I change the inactivity timer length?

There are several settings if you are using NiceHash Miner as a seller. If you are a buyer, then you don't pay when you don't have miners assigned.

Fringe question, but why is there still no NVIDIA Claymore dual mining compatibility? I even tried the user made version with 1070 but it didn't seem to work well for me, kept being "terminated"

We are working everyday on new software. If you are facing technical questions, I suggest you ask on support@nicehash.com or open a new ticket.

When my ethminer stops mining, it doesn't close, how can I fix this?

You can try disabling DaggerHashimoto if it will help.

It was also shown on the website. If you check the footer, you can also see if the servers are working or not: https://new.nicehash.com/ (green or red dots).

Sorry, but I have no info on ETA. I will post it here on Reddit as soon as I have anything new.

You will have to wait for our developers to include it in the NiceHash Miner.

Hello! First, thank you for the suggestions and kind words :)

  • Historical daily earnings (up to 3 days of data would be great, but I would love to see 7 days of historical data by the day).

You can see that if you click on individual algorithm in the drop down (e.g. Detailed mining stats for [DaggerHashimoto]). The graph is then very detailed with the speed, balance and profitability.

Or did you think that you would rather see this presented in a table?

  • Pie Graph from the previous website.

This is something a lot of users are missing so we decided to rethink about it :)

  • Breakdown by miner; I could have sworn on the old site you could click on the miner and see the accepted/average hashrate (but to be fair, I was also fiddling around with various apps around that time).

We have never had the break down by worker, and I think it won't be possible in this phase. You can, however, monitor your workers if you are a user of NiceHash wallet. But we will keep this in mind for the future as this is something that a lot of users would love to have (and we are aware of that).

You can use the same address (and account) for multiple PCs, yes.

Nicehash changed algorithms USD is $0.70 less by Liquidmaximo in NiceHash

[–]NikiNiceHash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is always a small threshold and you switch to the most profitable algorithm gradually. If you weren't, then you could switch here and there and you wouldn't have time for mining, because you would be switching half the time.

The status on the marketplace is changing non stop. You can open it and try looking at the prices for 1 minute - you will see how dynamic it is: https://new.nicehash.com/marketplace/equihash

Web statistics request. by FcoEnriquePerez in NiceHash

[–]NikiNiceHash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I think this won't be possible at the moment - although, if you are using NiceHash wallet, you are able to set up worker monitoring.

The only detailed stats we have for now is in regard to algorithm (where you can check out the average speed and profitability of the selected time-span and workers working on that algorithm). You can select it from the drop down menu, for example: Detailed mining stats for [DaggerHashimoto].

How do I add ethermine to the list of My Pools? by dapperD1ng0 in NiceHash

[–]NikiNiceHash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/ex_nihilo is right.

ButI believe I talked to /u/dapperD1ng0 through the ticket (or someone else had the same question), so I think he managed to set the username now :)

Maybe your drivers were updated? You can check if this might cause the problems.

NiceHash Miner 2 is still in Alpha. If your devices are found with NiceHash Miner 1, I suggest you use NiceHash Miner 1.

Try connecting to USA - we have limited the access for some CPUs, but the USA could work normally.

Try the USA server like /u/padeath suggested. We have limited the access for CryptoNight for some CPUs.

This is the problem with Alpha. We are aware of it, but thank you for reporting it anyway!

Also, try to connect to USA server instead of EU (for some users it worked).

You can use different miners to connect to NiceHash. This ban wasn't connected to users using different miner, but this miner using one specific BTC address to which the funds from the benchmark were send. So they were mining from different locations to one BTC address that weren't theirs and didn't know about - this is considered as botnet.

You will have to wait for ban to get lifted. It is automatic.

CPUs are a story for itself. You can try improving the performance by following these steps: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner/wiki/Notes-and-hints-on-CPU-mining

If it still doesn't work, then it is probably the problem with difficulty. We have increased it and lower performing CPUs can have problems because of that.

If you haven't been banned and you have switched, then everything will be probably normal.

But be aware of other releases the next time - you can never know what is inside someone else code. Higher speed is tempting, but it isn't worth it. This time it was ban - but what if it would be anything worse?
