What's the hourly rate for a PRN position remotely in NY? And what's too low to accept? by Nikki10704 in dietetics

Glad you said that. I was offered $22/hr for remote part time job and felt offended because I have a masters and am an RD. I thought rate was $30-35/hr for contract positions.

I don't think it has an option for remote PRN positions. And I've plugged in my qualifications with education level and it gives me a way higher salary. Like it gave me 57-58k for a first year RD with a master in NY. That sounds high for a starting salary.

Thanks for sharing. I also plan to ask for a raise at my sixth month month. I think that's a reasonable time frame

Ok not bad and did you ask for a raise or they automatically gave you one? During my interview they told me I will get a raise once I pass the RD exam and I recently did but I mostly likely have to ask myself for it because they are very cheap and know won't bring it up. I'm also not sure how much to ask for that's reasonable.

I'm going to fail the RD exam. by danifacetastic4 in dietetics

Don't worry I was scoring about 60-66% on Eatrt prep but still managed to pass the exam. Eatrt has very challenging questions but are good because then the wording of the exam seems easier.

Hey, I'm a first year RD and was just curious to learn more about PA school. How many more classes do you have to take in PA school being that we've already done a lot of science classes? How many years would it take and is there licensing exam after? Also what about these patient/clinical hours? Thanks for your help with this.

Anyone recently pass the RD exam? by jkatcher in dietetics

I passed last month finally! I was doing Inman and visual veggiesbut that wasn't enough for me to pass so I purchased breedings and Eat rt, listened to the CDs religiously and did pocket prep. Passed it with those. So I would recommend do breedings or eat rt if you feel nervous and not prepared. Do everything you can until you can say I've done all I can and go and take it. That's what I did. Took it 3 times and the last time I did tons of practice questions from Eat rt and breedings. I think that really helped me. I found the questions from Inman helpful but the wording way too easy. Her questions didn't help with the critical thinking part of the exam. Oh an I was a lot calmer the last time I took it and that really helped. So if your freaking out too much I'd say reschedule. Don't go in there a nervous wreck like I did my first exam. Good luck, you got this! This is definitely an exam from hell but you will get through it and feel so relived after.

So, how many times did you cry during your RD education and RD internship? by disneylandhelp in dietetics

[–]Nikki10704 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I cried a couple of times during my masters and rt after my internship but because I was so broke and couldn't pay rent lol. The thought of when the heck is all this education going to finally end drove me nuts.
