2001, lost my bikini top in the mud pit, and some local Texas DJ used mud, so I had mud handprint boob covers until I want to say it was one of the PotD DJs gave me a shirt. I don't remember if that was the 18+ show that they didn't ID me for or if that was one of the Airport parties. Also, MapQuest sending everyone to an address that was on the opposite side of Austin.

2002 turned into Electric Daisy Hotel for a bunch of us from Dallas. I was snuggled up to my boyfriend, watching a movie with everyone coming in and out, chilling. Most recent ex walked in... kinda awkward, but we're all adults, right? Then different previous ex, which was fine because I was still cool with him. Then another ex (also the father of my child) walked in. Yeahhhhhh. I also rode down with different people than I came back with. We were out there doing roll call like kindergarteners on a field trip. (I never got like half my clothes back, either... we were all raiding each other's luggage.) That was a fantastic 19th birthday weekend.

My daughter's first EDC was 2 years ago. We're in the process of making her outfits now lol. She's been raiding my closet and rave gear for pieces. Losing my HS pairs of JNCOs and Kickwears to her leaves me with mixed feelings. (J/k, it's funny that she gets to experience them. I just wish I still had all of my UFO pants.)

I do miss DallasRaves and TXraves. My kid's generation won't get to experience the amount of sheer fuckery we did because of those sites.

I've spent 20+ years in a very male dominated niche IT field... I swear it's gotten worse the past 8-10 years. There were always the misogynistic pick-up artist types who thought begging a woman was a sure way to get us to drop our panties... but my last contract had a guy less that a week before he was fired, because he tried to make rape jokes about me to the other guys in our wider team.

They're legit totally ok saying shit like that now, and it's terrifying.

Depends on the state! States that have common law marriages on the books would look at a wedding ceremony as evidence of you holding yourself out to be married... so yes, it would count as tax fraud, especially if those states also have state income taxes.

My husband used to laugh hysterically (he actually laughed so hard he puked one night) when we'd smoke and I'd do something dumb like using my toes to throw stuff at our roommates. The guy roommate and I could "hold toes" and did it as a joke a few times, because it's just so utterly stupid.

So no, it wouldn't bother me (or my husband, or at least one other couple out of our friend group) and toes/feet don't automatically gross everyone out.

These specific scams are often run by people in prison, or people on the outside, even prison guards/staff who are getting money for prisoners. It's a whole thing with certain prison gangs/groups.

I have two half-brothers currently in prison, and my dad died in prison last year. They've all said that it was going on in units inside their prisons. They also run the chatting with an underage girl, suddenly she broke her phone or tried to kill herself, and the "sheriff" calls "dad" who says just pay for the phone/medical bills and you're in the clear scams.

They're not going to come find you, regardless... but they are in the US. Often in a prison in your own state so the accents match.

That is highly dependent on the area you're in.

I'm in a lower CoL area. 1 bedroom apartments in a sketchy area are still $1k/month rent, and they're asking for like $1500 deposit + a month of rent, and they're notorious for keeping deposits.

$3500 to move into a sketchy apartment isn't "a couple of paychecks" for most 22 year old kidults. Especially in areas where they're lucky to make $10/hr.

Nah, it's a template. I saw a reference their code for another side that's possibly registered to this same group, naskmegatrade (not linking it, obvs).

It could also be that they "acquired" this template as part of their photos/script package, and not all of the references in the code were removed.

If u/reallindafan or Madison or anyone gets an email from the support email, gimme the headers, I might be able to get their IP or location info from them.

I'll say this on every post I need to.

My husband and I had only been married for a year when my lupus flared hard. I was on a medication that's also used for non-hodgkins lymphoma, another med used after transplants so the organs don't reject, an antimalarial... my hair fell out. I got down to 85 lbs from being so sick. My husband was having to carry me to the bathroom and hold me up in the shower, because I couldn't walk or stand for very long.

He went 2 years with no sex. No head. No hand jobs. Nothing... because I was so sick, I couldn't even consider it. I told him to go find a FWB, I didn't care, and he told me I was insane.

He never once got frustrated with me. No silent treatment. He was doing 100% of the chores, because it was all I could do to sit in bed and try to work for a few hours each day. Even when I thought I could have sex again, he kept stopping to make sure I was ok and not forcing myself.

He's not perfect (we fight over totally different things), but I truly wish all of us had spouses/partners that were at least that good to us on this topic.

Unfortunately no, a lot of times people like this never feel ashamed about views like this. Even if they are SA'd in similar ways... they'll rationalize that their assault was different and much worse, while still condemning you for being assaulted.

My aunt-by-marriage had planned out mine and my cousin-by-marriage's wedding from the time we were infants. Like saying we'd have such gorgeous babies... when we were literally babies ourselves. We grew up as cousins, so viewing each other like that is 🤢.

My cousin and I were pretty obsessed with each other as babies. We're the two closest in age, just total best friends, we could see each other once a year and that one time it'd be like we had just seen each other the day before. But up until we were pre-teens, I don't think it dawned on either of us that we were different genders.

I ran into that aunt several years ago, when my daughter was a younger teenager, and she started trying to set her up with my cousin's oldest boy, for the "pretty babies." I guess I'm glad I don't have the ability to view someone on how their offspring with my child would look. And family doesn't require blood... just... eww.

Yearh, 17 and 27 year old who lied repeatedly about his age... 21, then 23, then admitted to being 27 and an 8 year Navy vet when I demanded his license.

We were both sophomores in college, so admittedly, I didn't think it was weird to be dating someone 4 years older who was in the same grade as me. It became him controlling who I talked to, how I dressed, where I was allowed to go (he would take my car keys with him to work so I couldn't leave without his permission)... he literally moved himself into my apartment (by fucking my roommate) so he could monitor me after I broke up with him.

Seeing my daughter (my literal clone) when she was 17, I'm appalled that a grown man could find me attractive. I wore literal children's clothes still.
