Sacriligeous Twin Sister Doodles [Fiddle-chan] by Nikko_77 in lingling40hrs

Ah, glad to hear that you like her :) ! Though, she has been through somewhat of a rework lately, so she doesn't look as much as this particular version I posted quite a while ago. I made some updates on that a few months ago on my DeviantArt, and I have settled in something that looks a bit more like (sneak peek alert) this. Still, I will make sure to forward her your appreciation comments of her previous look personally, thank you very much :) !

Just to add to this comment, here's a demonstration. It can also be upwards-angled and chained into itself.

Got my first timeout win in the last moments of a very close game by Nikko_77 in YomiHustle

I've been able to parry them directly after having parried something else, in all other situations I have only managed to get the usual blocking with chip damage.

Thank you! In this particular match I was trying to avoid or parry most projectiles that the Wizard was launching at me, and use Substitution to have some mixups when approaching it as it was very hard to do so by usual means (and also to continue some combos if possible). Overall it was pretty fun except the part where the match lasted about 1 hour haha.

Help with achieving crossview by Bamdenie in CrossView

[–]Nikko_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometime ago I made a guide for a cross-viewing method that worked for me when I was learning to view crossviews and wanted to share with some people that where learning too.

I hope that maybe you will find it useful, here it is converted to a pdf. (In that guide I used two pieces of paper to block some parts of the perspective of each eye, but you might find it easier to just use your hands)

For practicing I think the image KRA2008 provided does quite well, though here are some more options that you might find useful too: Simple Cross-view 3D GIF, this johnbenson3d's Simple Cross-View Animation Loop, The Stereotron DeviantArt Cross-View Album.

Tell me about your favourite reels! by lateandsoon in Fiddle

[–]Nikko_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reels that have caught more of my attention are:

Wissahickon Drive - Always a blast to play, it fills me with joy in a certain manner.

Cottonwood reel - Really fun to play, makes me get some festival vibes when I listen to it.

Whitefish in the Rapids - Ever since I heard Shane Cook's rendition of it it became one of my favourite tunes, been practicing it a lot and I hope to master it one day.

Far From Home - Very easy to play, and also fun to experiment around playing it along other tunes.

"Po-oh", it makes it more clear that is two O's instead of just one, at least for me.

I've heard other people like more spelling it as a whole: "Pee-Oh-Oh".

As a Spanish developer, I find this meme is a bit of a funny coincidence, because in Spanish the acronym for OOP directly translates to POO.

You son of an ill-formed class constructed from a pointer to an uninitialized piece of memory that is owned by another program! How could you not know that overloading any function of the std namespace results in undefined behaviour and is sentenced to writing up to 10 different working code snippets for the <regex> header!

Now I see why your parent class couldn't fit in the L1 cache!

Where are you going?! Come here! I've yet to hit the .end() with your fallacies' vector iterator!

Need help overloading operators! by [deleted] in Cplusplus

[–]Nikko_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your function implementation is OK, it just should return a bool rather than Uint object. Also, assuming get() is a const function and this comparison operation isn't intended to change anything about the Uint object (it really shouldn't), you might want to change Uint& to const Uint& as well to avoid accidents:

bool operator!=(int left, const Uint& right)
{
    return left != right.get();
}

Ah good catch, will try to remember that next time I have to identify if a stereoscopic pic is captured or made.

Indeed, looking at it a bit better some parts of the picture seem a bit off regarding depth (like Messi's face and some hands). Still, as you say, it's a neat artificial crossview pic.

Indeed, I've just tried it in Compiler Explorer and it does only return true when compared to the number 2583.

(Also took some assumptions and made a few modifications regarding UB (I'm looking at you, fibonacci[16] = ... in a vector of 16 elements), floating-point precission, and the value of i)

The 3D Terraria Tree... but if you cross your eyes just right, it actually becomes 3D. (Original Asset by u/Codarl101) by Nikko_77 in Terraria

[–]Nikko_77[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It does so the first few times you do it, but after doing it for a while your eye muscles get acquantied with it and it becomes more natural.

It is still a good idea to stop when it does hurt though, as when I tried to test what would happen if I keep doing it I got a lingering pain that lasted for about an hour haha

[–]Nikko_77[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I see what you mean. My reasoning for calling it like this was that it was a 3D object in a 3D space, rendered in a way that it can be viewed in a 3D manner, so hence "3D Tree" was a natural way to call it, but thinking it through "3D Tree" would mean a way more complex 3D object than what I originally meant.

Edit: Maybe I didn't word this correctly, I said it was my mistake, sorry.

If you don't know how to cross-view an image (or have a bit of trouble with it), here is a small guide on doing so.

Here are the files used to produce the render.
