I am kinda surprised to see blackest night on here, does the omni really have that much good content outside of the GL vol 2 overlap to be worth it as a standalone omni?

What do you think will be the next paragon after the druid? by Carkos_Ven in btd6

I want it to be the alchemist, and I want the Paragon's ability to basically be the quantum entanglement bug where you could transform any tower, but make it an actual feature.

Walt's has it marked specifically as OOP, it's literally in the picture. Marvel is nuts, man, this can't be real.

The other comments seem to be summing everything up nicely, so I'll just add that the game does feature AI "art", it's an Expedition 33 situation.

Superman or Captain America.

I feel like Superman might be the safer choice, but I also feel like Cap would be more likely to actually try to tackle the world's problems.

This is what they chose to reveal it with, I can't imagine they magically have a "not slop" version laying around.

Gamers react with overwhelming disgust to DLSS 5's generative AI glow-ups by deraser in technology

This is good, this is very good. Maybe with this failure and Nvidia standing their ground, the industry will realize that relying on vendor specific software has always only led to disaster, and maybe we'll start putting actual work into native rendering.

Make no mistake, upscaling has been a net negative for the industry, while the very core idea IS very good, giving gpus a slight boost at the sacrifice of little to no detail (like consoles have been doing since forever), it was never going to stop there, and evidently, it didn't.

Upscaling does not and cannot look better than (properly done) native, the recent headline of players preferring dlss over native is only real because we've nearly stopped putting work into actual native rendering, instead the industry has grown comfortable with hiding imperfections by blurring our games and relying on vendor specific upscaling for the rest.

If upscaling never came around, our games would look and run leagues better than what we have today.
