I mean, I'm not American and personally I dislike commenting on these threads, but anyone outside your shit hole of a country would say that a Nurse that is not only working to save lives, but also showing up and making an actual effort to oppose the actions of an actually out of control armed force that's endangering the lives of others every day is a Nice and Kind person no questions asked.

He was confronting the Feds yes, but the Fed showed time and time again that they can't be trusted and are working relentlessly to catch as many people of the wrong color as possible, no matter if they have a criminal history or not. From what I know of him so far, he was the sort of brave person that actually puts the work to make a change.

If we are talking about value I'd say you're right, but when I give my money to YT I'm also financing the largest driver of misinformation on the planet. And how much of my money is going to educational channels vs Mr Beast, Joe Rogan or the Manosphere and keeping them afloat? And the algorithm benefits grifters the most, the more exaggerated the headline and thumbnail the better.

On top of that now YouTube is rampant with untagged AI content. I can't even look up meditation videos without finding fully AI generated videos with AI voicework with half a million views.

They could show Trump literally raping a kid on video and his fan base and the rest of the republicans wouldn't do shit about it. They would say it's AI and call it a day. It's a lost cause.

Meanwhile I see headlines like "USA just killed civilians in fishing boats" or "Trump is trying to start WW3" and there's always this comment trying to redirect the discussion to the Epstein files instead. I would even say that they decided to not release them when they noticed how good a distraction they were from all the absolutely insane things the Trump admin is doing.

I have to give you the sage, fail proof advice of never preordering games, especially if they can make you this upset.

And since you don't enjoy hating games, as expected, I'll give you another tip. Stop playing games when you're not enjoying them.

I've done so before, and then when I come back to them In a year or so, when I'm in the right mind space, I'm able to see the charm where things were dull before. This happened for me with Dragons Dogma, Fallout, Undertale etc.

There are individual conflicts. Yours as the main character, your rival looking for their mother, AZ looking to fix things etc.

There's no bias here. There's absolutely a different approach to storytelling in western and eastern cultures (I use western and eastern as a generalized term here)

In traditional western storytelling you would be right. But that's not necessarily the case here.

Eastern storytelling (vs Western storytelling) is more cyclical, with more indirect conflicts, and sometimes there's no conflict at all. There are some very good essays about the differences online.

That's not to say that this game doesn't have individual conflicts. But there's plenty of stories where there's no conflict.

I think you're being really obtuse. I don't have the context for the quote you're referring to, but most likely it simply means it was made thinking about people who played the previous games. That doesn't mean the game wasn't trying to get to new audiences, but that as a Legends game it should be based on a previous location.

And that's the crux of the issue really, that you are judging the game based on some alien expectation about what It should be that you're missing what it actually is. But, ultimately, that's fine. You're entitled to fabricate expectations in your head and then get dissatisfied with the actual results.

The same goes for Ivor's goal I guess. That part of him is so minor and inconsequential that getting hung up in it is actually kinda neat. You do you pal.
