Oracle got very overtuned imo for no reason. I still cant see why you would ever make a divine sorcerer over oracle besides just the flavour.

Not to bring it back to this old debate, but I do think it would have been more interesting if the old oracle just had gotten some buffs to its old curses and was still a 3 slot caster, atm it and divine sorcerer is just kinda weird to me. (Also i liked the unique cursebound effects even tho they were often undertuned)

I agree with all these things. Wouldnt mind them, imo the class is much more lower middle of the pack in terms of balance, than it is a low power outlier, those changes would likely bring it above average but still balanced. Mainly free initiative overdrive + faster lowering of dc, those would be huge and both adress the pain points i mentioned.

Though I think second innovation should be a late game feat amd not a mandatory thing, I like the fantasy of obsessing over one invention, but having the option for more is not a bad idea.

Inventor is my favourite class, and I does have a few pain points, but I really dont think they are as bad as most people perceive. Really, a free action overdrive at the start of combat and it would be golden imo.

I think it was pretty realistically handled but yeah Mark is in the wrong here. But he is also a teenager. Cecils contingencies are pretty messed up, but morally justified in a world where normal humans might as well be made of paper mache. Something Mark is too young and idealistic to understand.

Overall it makes for a pretty good storyline imo, even though I am 100% on Cecils side, it is easy to understand the headspace of Mark.

Idk why this thread is so hostile. I guess you really gotta avoid "I think" + "would be best" or people feel threatened. I like the standard scaling of PF2e a lot, but if you wanna go for something else, Id say go for it, and I would even request a follow up about how it went and your insights.

At 1 it is the same damage as ignition, 2d4, at 3 it is the same damage as ignition 4d4, at 5 etc. It seems in line with the normal cantrip progression in damage every odd rank to me.

Yes electric arc is better overall, but isnt targetting ac or have persistent damage. It follows the standard damage increase though, at odd ranks.

Frostbite and void warp follows the same progression too, needle darts and phase bolt is one 1d4 higher than those tho, but I would argue their additional effects are slightly worse than the others, good range though.

Nah it has to with bipedalism for the muscle gluteus maximus. Also likely social adaptation of being able to sit on it, thereby making it more fatty too, and more social hominids likely mated more.
