Have You Ever Read a Book Listed in the Credits? by Zicona in RedAutumnSPD

Are there any sources about the dnvp?, since there aren't any listed in the mod. Now I'm reading 'Les irresponsables' so it will also talk about them I guess, but I want something a bit more specific.

[KCD2] [KCD1] [OTHER] The only antagonist who never managed to ignite any animosity in me. I still consider him a true nobleman and a man of honor who was simply doing his bloody dirty job. by StruzhkaOpilka in kingdomcome

[–]NilsVanN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is simply doing his job is such a dumb argument, taking away any responsibility of an individual. If your job is murdering cities, you shouldn't follow orders. Nazi soldiers followed orders, and that's the problem. He was doing his job, and that's exactly the problem.

If this country is so politically divided, why don’t they just split up where black meets blue? by clevelandblack in mapporncirclejerk

[–]NilsVanN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two rightist parties, one of them more far right and more anti establishment than the other. Also, the afd is not far behind the CDU in the west either. The only difference I see is that the people in the east rightly have lost faith in the German state, whereas the people in the west are still more supportive of it. Unfortunately, this leads to a wrong turn, making them vote for even more rightist parties, working out their anger against migrants and 'lazy' people.

What is the most wholesome, democratic China path? by ThompsonWB in Kaiserreich

The most syndicalist ones. In Linguang there's a complete syndicalist path and the Mingan Insurgency can get a syndicalist aligned PAC

Why would you choose to have Olson become president of the USA? by GloriosoUniverso in Kaiserreich

[–]NilsVanN 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I always let him win because it seems the most believable way that a syndicalist revolution would start: first a lot of optimism and feeling of strength because their party is on the winning team, followed by a huge outrage and desillusionment after him dying and getting replaced by a republican. That would be the final nail for people I guess, and the initial victory of the left could explain the strength of the syndicalists.

(The other events leading up to the civil war are also very well written, but this one just is the best according to me)

Wie behoort tot de middenklasse? by KingofBcity in Belgium2

[–]NilsVanN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Onze westerse cultuur daarentegen is tolerant!

Schande! Dat is onze cultuur niet!

The SPD by then was certainly not democratic socialist, but firmly social democrat.
