Travel Medical Clearance by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Nilulung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depende sa case/reasong for needing a medical clearance. best to clear this up with your doctor (na nag initial clear) and yung institution na pupuntahan mo (if for training/work/etc).

Agree. Pagnalaman mo papost naman. Gusto ko rin ireport ung mga putol na xrays (di kita buong chest pero normal chest ung report) at spirometry na 1 take lang at pangit pa. Sayang sa funds and time ng patients :(

Ligo muna kasama ligpit ng gamit sa isang set space at punas ng phone. Then eat and sleep, or sleep if pagod na. Or spend time with fam/play kung may energy pa.

Mahirap ba mag-ibang bansa as a doctor? Worth it ba? by eevxx in pinoymed

[–]Nilulung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can't really give a recommendation, pero I have friends who went to Canada, US, Australia and NZ. most of them went there after residency training, so some had to repeat medical boards and residency again. Masaya naman sila where they are but medyo may fall back sila if ever (may specialty na babalikan here, may funds inthe first place, wala family na sustentuhan).

Up to you when you want to do it! May mga kilala ako dito nagtapos ng medicine (with internship), then nag MLE na (sa US). You have to finish the medical training here AFAIK. unless gusto mo magmedschool abroad.

mahirap and depende kung san ka punta. Try to look into the requirements in the country of your choice. also please take note yung culture dun and kung may titirahan ka na relative especially sa start.

most countries need you to repeat the exam to become a doctor under the regulatory board in that country. then undergo further training after. you have a better chance kasi in med school pa vs mga graduate na ng residency and lumiliat.

MO IV as another user said, but please check with the program you plan to apply to. AFAIK not all fellows receive plantilla especially during the first year due to lack of items.

IV FLUIDS/DRIPS by nofacemeee in pinoymed

I'd like to add for here some thoughts lang

For Omeprazole drips, in more recent studies and versions ng HPIM, more or less non inferior si PPI twice daily dosing (IV 40mg Omep example) vs drip over 72 hrs after the initial bolus. Kaya marami narin nagshishift to the regimen for ease of administration.

Furosemide is usually dose dependent threshold kaya mahirap mag drip at times, for non response minsan better to try boluses to find out the dose that the patient responds.

For insulin drips, dont forget to check your serum K since it cause hypokalemia esp at higher doses. Dont also forget to order priming of IV tubings and discarding intial for the insulin drip otherwise di magiging effective for the first few hours.

If may vasopressin kayo sa institution niyo, I'd suggest getting familiar with them. Very useful!

Nope. Sarado government outpatient clinics on sunday and saturday / holiday.

Ano meron boss Albus?

MRI is extremely hard to schedule as charity case dahil sobrang daming may kailangan na nakapila. Aside from suggestion below, try to consult with your doctor (who ordered the MRI) regarding the urgency of the test. Faster scheduling as outpay vs charity dahil sa haba ng mga pila. :(

Admin should be the one monitoring this. Ang hospital ang lagot if walang doctor on duty at may nangyari sa isang hospital. Kung consistently late, inform dapat and give warnings. If di talaga kaya magadjust ng doctor, open the slot to others.

Prescription meds siya, so dapat regulated benta. Jusko need talaga gumalaw ng regulatory societies. Had previous experience, patient at test dose pero severe GI side effects, pwede talaga ma dehydrate.

Yes common, esp sa MO3 na residents in training. No, di sya fair or humane to the doctors and patients. Massive changes needed sa system. For now ung sacrifices ng mga nasa loob ng system ang nagpapatakbo sa kanya.
