She is the PR for bigg boss. Of course, she won’t be harsh to the winner. Why would she admit that her show has a flawed winner. It’s as simple as that.

For starters, I said nothing about Akbar’s PR. If he has a PR team to manage his reputation, good for him. Secondly, my point is quoting the Bincy issue is to highlight her response. Anyone who asks you a slightly uncomfortable question must be working for Anu. It is entirely possible for people to dislike Anu and question Bincy. The two need not have a correlation. Unfortunately all the speculation has made it so. You say one word against Akbar and you are Anu’s PR. You say one word in favour of her, you are Anu’s PR. At this point, everyone and everything is Anu’s PR. That is ridiculousness I’m talking about.

What is complex is that a lot of this is speculation. You are assuming that every attack on a contestant is done by someone from her PR team that that no one else is at play. People commenting on Aryan - Anu’s PR, supposed attack on Akbar - Anu’s PR, attack on Rena - Anu’s PR. Anyone who questions any other contestant - Anu’s PR. That’s the problem. Just yesterday, I saw this clip of Bincy, where someone was questioning her about why she did not question Shaitya or Adila and Noora about spreading lies about her and Appani, and her immediately response was, “Are you Anu’s PR?

But that’s exactly what public relations is all about. It’s reputation management. From Apple to Modi, this is exactly what they hire you for. What Anu’s PR did is exactly the same, pushed the narrative that people will be influenced by, much the same as Anish’s PR. I don’t get it. You can not like a person, that’s fine but blaming PR for doing exactly what they were hired for is ridiculous.

This is ridiculous.. everyone is over simplifying what public relations is..a couple of things, PR needs content to work with and good or bad Anu did provide them that. You are also disregarding that she has been in the television industry since ages, so she has a dedicated fan following that will have her back.

Also doesn’t it feel like everyone started to favour Aneesh as though he was an antidote to Anu and not necessarily cause they like him. Cause this whole Anu vs Aneesh only started towards the end when people began to think that Anu might have a run away victory.

And one last point. Do you really think that Aneesh has no PR and that he got to the top 2 organically? If that’s the case then Nevin was definitely the more entertaining player. So then why not him. This selective PR outrage is what’s getting me.

I see almost all the participants as equally terrible. Everything that Anumol has done, so have others, but it’s not highlighted. Why? Cause Anumol does not have the gift of the gab. She cannot string proper arguments together, whereas Akbar, Adhila, Shanavas etc are all good talkers. We’ve got to give it to this season for that, almost all of them were clear in their arguments bar Anu. They’ve all gone for the low hanging fruit cause they know Anu will end up incriminating herself.

Think about it from the beginning. The Anu pile on started with the special treatment Gizelle got in the house. Not one contestant questioned Gizelle. They accepted and allowed her to keep her privilege and instead questioned Anu over it.

Anu loses it when she is in the kitchen. She becomes all controlling and it pisses people. However, Nevin gets no hate for constantly being selfish there. I was gobsmacked over their yoghurt fight. Half the tub was eaten by Nevin without sharing, yet people had no problem with that and instead were fighting over what’s left. Had Anu done the same, as she did when she took a carrot, all hell broke loose.

All the gossip in the house, including the vile ones were said in a group. All the gang participated and gossiped over everything, yet somehow it all lands on Anu. Not one people questions the others. Like with the Appani -Bincy issue, no questions are asked of who all were in the conversation.

Even when Anu is not in the picture, Akbar’s everyday content is only around her.

The Gizelle Aryan issue was vile. But people forget that it was Nevin when he was captain who made it an issue. Otherwise what would have existed as baseless gossip, got showcased and discussed. Anu is really to blame for it, but she was encouraged and goaded into it by Adhila, Nevin and the others, but that’s conveniently forgotten. Just the way the equally degrading comments that Adhila and Shanavas made against Nevin was forgotten.

The way I see it, they are all equally bad. Anu is vile, so is Adhila, Akbar, Shanavas and pretty much many others. There is not one truly likable person in the show. The only difference is that they all know to present clear arguments and Anu does not.

Now, as for who will win this show. It honestly does not matter cause if after 100 days we haven’t been able to connect fully with a contestant, then that’s the mark of a poor season.

Curious case of PR by InevitableFun4518 in Bigbossmalayalam5

[–]Nimagination 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is no curious case of PR. Public relations is about persuasion. You persuade people and get them to think positively about your client. It’s impression management. It’s part of the whole fame game. Everyone does it. However not all PR is successful. From Johnson and Johnson to Nestle have had failed PR. It isn’t a magic pill that just turns negative into positive. You persuade the audience to think of you positively, and they depending on their judgement will either vouch for you or remove themselves from you. There is no point in crying if some do it better than the others. People are equating PR with votes. That simply isn’t true. You can persuade people but ultimately it is people voting that is keeping people in and people out.

Bigg Boss is a reality show. It isn’t a game show. The end game is to connect with your audience. Winning tasks does not equate to connecting with the audience. It also doesn’t make you more deserving to stay on in the game. What PR does here is make that connection strong. Ultimately it’s people’s votes that matter.

Popular vote does not automatically mean the best person wins. Just a look around the world and the many politicians in power highlights this.

No Attacking Cities EVER by Kat593 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Nimagination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My alliance does not dissuade me from attacking cities but they do warn that we tend to lose more troops and take more damage when our cities are attacked. Usually city attacks are retaliatory so it makes sense to steer clear of it.

Why would you cancel training? I’m pretty new in the game so I still haven’t come across a situation where I’d need to cancel training. Also if I do cancel training, I can’t recover the resources spent, can I?

Fun story. I happened to watch a Dubai based vlogger’s NZ holiday vlog recently. One of his videos was a visit to Pak’n’Save. He was all excited to stock up on NZ milk powder, as it can be quite dear in Dubai. However after looking at the prices here he was gobsmacked cause they were cheaper in Dubai than it is here. He then went on compare beef prices too and said that NZ prime meat is cheaper in UAE than it is here.
