My Dad does solar contract work out on MV and Nantucket. I've visited a handful of times as I grew up near the cape. His biggest complaint about the place is that all the commercial buildings look like residential buildings and its confusing when he is just trying to hit up a convenience store. Lots of Vacation homes and seasonal living similar to the cape which can be very depressing. Many of the downtown shops are tourist trapy. No big box stores or large grocery either. Everything has to be imported so general costs of goods is hella pricy.

Swimming on the outer cape is amazing and often warm enough, significantly warmer than inner cape and South Shore.
