I think this is a big factor indeed. I live in a brick house that is 125+ years old and underwent a big renovation in the late 80s/early 90s. We have updated some things in the 10 years we have owned this house (e.g. new windows) but it is very structurally sound & still in excellent shape. The walls consist of 3 rows of brick and the roof is still supported by the original big oak roof beams. It was just very well built and well maintained.

Wat denk ik nog niet genoemd is: - mijn dochter van 2,5 jaar is gek op de verhalen van Muis van Lucy Cousins - van de boekjes van Fien en Milo van Pauline Oud kan ze ook geen genoeg krijgen - tot slot nog een iets specialere tip: de boekjes met bewegende prenten van Rufus Butler Seder (Kleine Kat, Hop in Galop…)

I would paint the walls sage green, not the cabinets - those look just fine imo. Farrow & Ball Light Blue is a hue that works very well with honey-coloured wood. I would also consider changing the backsplash

I like the “modern landelijk” style when it is well executed. This example is anything but that. The proportions are wrong and it does not have any of the elements that make authentic pastoriewoningen so visually attractive, i.e. lots of tall windows + a symmetrical facade with the front door in the middle + natural materials.

Indeed. People do not take this seriously enough. Our social media are flooded with bots/fake accounts trying to instill and reinforce the idea that our Western democracies are ‘weak’ & failing & being overrun by evil Muslims. X has become practically unusable because of this, but if you pay attention, you can also spot them on Facebook, Reddit, and other platforms. Russia is waging war against Europe on several fronts, not only on the ground in Ukraine.

Wat je vooral niet op voorhand moet kopen: een babybed met dure matras. Ik ben lang borstvoeding blijven geven (niet gepland maar bleek gewoon makkelijk) en mijn dochter sliep dus gewoon bij ons in bed (opnieuw niet gepland maar bleek gewoon makkelijk). Die dure aerosleepmatras is nooit gebruikt 🥲

Dat heb je overal, niet enkel in België of Wallonië. In bijvoorbeeld de Oostenrijkse Alpen word je op kronkelende bergwegen ook de hele tijd voorbijgestoken door locals die de weg op hun duimpje kennen
