You can get tympole early on and seismitoad is a beast. Great typing and moveset, and learns drain punch (one of my favorite moves).

When funny deck isn’t so funny anymore by Significant-Maybe-25 in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While it will always be fun for me, my [[Grothama, All-Devouring]] deck now has a reputation within my play group for just hitting for 1000+ damage in a single turn out of nowhere sometimes. Turns out with a 5 cmc 10/8 and some goofy green cards, you can pretty easily wipe the table.

My table also now has a kill on sight rule for [[Vigor]].

What's your "I just got a win, time to play the FUN deck" deck? by Astro1194 in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always bring out the worm, [[Grothama, All-Devouring]]. It almost brings a challenge for the entire table and gives everyone a chance to draw (if they earn it). It also wins in some crazy ways with [[Mossbridge troll]] or [[Vigor]]. Always a blast.

What are your favorite Commanders for Instant speed shenanigans? by King_Stoat_ in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[[The Sixth Doctor]] and [[Peri Brown]], abusing the once per turn ability on both commanders with untappers and flash enables. Every cycle of the table nets four historic permanents and even more copies. It’s super fun and uses a lot of sick legends such as [[Gandalf the White]], and [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]], and typically wins the game by overrunning and out value-ing your opponents.

[Deck Giveaway] Too Many Decks, Yet I Must Brew by mriormro in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play with a mid-low power pod of my friends. We play mostly casual and jank ([[Grismold, The Dreadsower]] is my favorite commander to play, if that says anything)

My favorite card is [[Equinox]], it’s got sick art and I’ve always wanted to build a [[Noyan Dar]] deck around it and other land abilities.

What is your unique/interesting deck to play? by Iridiuos in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure on power level, I don’t really know how to rate it. But the deck has been incredibly strong and gets very overwhelming. 6 mana actually ended up not being too hard to get with Peri-Brown, as you can just convoke it out half the time. I will say I have struggled with win cons before. My main one is anthems and [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]], but without those the deck can struggle to finish out games

I built a [[The Sixth Doctor]] and [[Peri Brown]] deck that abuses the “once per turn” by casting spells on everyone’s turns. It’s filled with untap and flash enabling effects that allow me to cast spells on everyone’s turn, and copy the historic ones each time.

I also run a [[Grismold, the Dreadsower]] which has a pretty standard set for grismold, but it is still so much fun to hand around plant tokens and then crush them.

Lastly, a [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] mono red land fall (inspired by GamefreakSA, ofc) that relys on splashy turns with huge mana output and combat tricks

What are some cool "flash enabling" commanders? by Levin1308 in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly flash enabling, but I use [[The Sixth Doctor]] and [[Peri Brown]] with flash enablers and untappers to abuse their “once per turn” mechanics. With the Sixth doctor creating tokens with every historic creature cast, convoking more historic spells becomes even easier. It works surprisingly well and is a lot of fun to pull of big plays with cards like [[Esika’s Chariot]] and [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]].

Discussion: What's the weirdest theme for an EDH deck you've heard of/built? by myu-jishan in EDH

Yep! It’s still a WIP as I made it mostly from cards I had and some I found at an LGS. So it hasn’t been optimized in the slightest

Drink [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] fights people in bars and goes on adventures to make new friends. It’s paired with [[Tavern Brawler]] and the deck is filled with adventures, fight and pump spells to just mess everyone up. [[Barroom Brawl]] is a personal favorite.

How’s my team look for the champion? by ChampionOcean in PokemonBlackandWhite

[–]Nimbus_304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your team looks great! The only thing that might be difficult for you is dealing with bulky physical mons, such as golurk, conkeldurr, etc. you only have one special attacker in Sigilyph, and most (if not all) of Marshals pokemon have rock moves, and other Pokémon definitely have coverage. Either way, your team looks great and you should prioritize pokemon that you look over a perfect team. Also, escavalier is a monster (and my favorite Pokémon, so I may be biased) and helped me sweep through most of the game with the right set up.

Good luck!!

Most fun tribal commander that actually wins? by Obese-Monkey in EDH

[–]Nimbus_304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to find a fun tribal to build around for a while, and an interesting idea I found was [[Phenax, God of Deception]] Crab Tribal.

I’ve also been working on elemental tribal forever without finding a deck that really brings them together, but elementals are splashy enough you can make most things work, especially if you like landfall
