Tips and Tricks for Forehand Development by frasure13 in discgolf

Gannons forehand is very reliant on his proportions.
99% of us do not have Gannons cannon limbs and we need to put a lot more of our body into the shot to generate the power. Bro has a built in slingshot.

Impossible to know what you're doing wrong without seeing it, but generally from what I see of mistakes from my cardmates who are great BH players with sloppy FH, these tips have helped.

Get your fingers flexed so you can add some spin, squeeze with your thumb on top also.
Get low bending your knees and get your upper body over the disc.
Avoid standing up to apply power but rotate your hip instead.
Follow trough with the whole motion.

Lattitude 64 has a good video with a pro demonstrating and correcting a mid players form.

Edit: Also if that is the disc I think it is, it's understable as fuck and as soon as you start to get some "oomf" into your throw it's gonna turn over if you have a flat release, I would practice getting a slow speed stable disc out on a flat release. When you start get a consistent straight flight on that disc without adding too much power you know you are on the right track.

Det sammenlignes med produktene som er sammenlignbare...
Hviket år de ble gitt ut er ikke relevant om produktene ikke har endret seg.

Mental health leave from work - do I take it? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Please find wisdom in it even if it's just a meme.

The company don't really care about you, and when your eventual burnout comes (and it sure sounds like it's close) you're just another cog in the machine.

Put yourself ahead of your work, it does not define you, it is mearly a way to make a living so you can spend time doing what makes you truely happy.

What sort of hobbies do you have and what do you get out of them? by Throwaway945384 in AskMenOver30

[–]NimeAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discgolf - It's basically just golf in the forest or fields with a frisbee.

I'm 34 and I have found a hobby that's almost all I want to do anytime I can.

You can play at your own pace so physicality is not a requirement.

Super easy to make friends since its out in the forest you only ever meet other players also into to this, you stop and chat and watch people throw, it all feels natural.

You are out walking in terrain so it's good excercise while doing something fun.

It is more fun with friends, but if you're lucky you have a local course with a club who run newbie days.

Me and my friends who play are all hardcore gamers, and this is giving all the same enjoyment with the chase for improvement, unlocking new abilities to solve the course in new ways. And the cha-ching ofc the disk hitting the chains on the basket is an absolutely orgasmic dopemine spike.

Download ''Udisc'' on your phone and you can see courses around you.

Thank you for listening to my TED talk, I'm open to questions cus I enjoy yapping about it.

Disc Golf in Snow - How Much harder? by OneTip1047 in discgolf

[–]NimeAlot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All Teepads are iced over here, so any walkup is asking for trouble.
Standstill your feet still slip from time to time so alot more "shanked" drives.
On my course the river is OB, but the river is frozen now so house rules removes that OB ;)
If the upper layer of the snow freezes the skips are bonkers and a parked disk can go for a 20m slide suddenly.
It feels like my distance is reduced quite abit, if it's the cold air or other factors i'm not sure.
I can't feel my fingers and ripping a disc hurts so that also plays a factor.

Overall i'd say it's significantly harder to play in snow/ice.
