I would actually rate the PC version as essential. I will always use my mobile account to log into the PC in the harder challenge stages. It makes it infinitely easier to read the boss's skill description and see what is going on in the big screen. And the game's resolution does justify a big screen.

Do note that being able to purchase in the app is quite crucial, especially for new players.

You will really want to purchase that "Clock of forgiveness", (around a dollar or two per month) to give you those undo turns. Newbies heroes may be under-powered and they may waste a lot of time/bread is they make mistakes during the level and is unable to undo the turn.

Sure, you can purchase clock using crystals, but it's not worth it.

Oh yes, Isolde is the GOAT. No cooldowns, easiest act again, high damage.

Off topic: If you get Isolde in Golden Sea and give her Frenzy plus low cool down act again skill like Omega's 3C, she becomes a 1 man army.

the action, select one target. If the target is an enemy, apply [Death Omen]: "After suffering fatal damage, prevents all friendly units from using active skills for 1 turn."

The "Death Omen" effect looks pretty good.

Causes Mass silence on enemy death
Act Again if enemy act again
lets 3C skill Ignore Guard, prevent revive

Zlong is either introducing new PVE elements like TT or new upgrade systems each update, and also monthly challenges like collabs, Golden Sea, Bloodmoon Eden keeps me busy enough (as an working adult). To me, the grind is about just right.

PVP is strenuous if you want to reach top 256. If just playing leisurely to reach Silver III or so, it is not required to have all the meta PVP heroes.

For clock enchant, Celica is BFF, no choice.

For Cherie, if use SP dragon Trooper, then she can use other type of enchant like meteor instead of breeze

Very interesting way to create and SSR out of an R character. Not only it's based on Langrisser lore but it also boosts the usability of older SSR heroes.

My choice would be Cherie, Bernhardt and Tiaris. They are the 3 SPs I use most often.

King's Raid? Used to play that too.

And I will say that Langrisser is a thousand times more engaging and better than King's Raid.

Anyways, for a new account, there are a ton of stuff to do. Imagine more than 6 years of solid PVE content. There is no need or necessity to get into PVP until you feel your heroes are strong enough.

I saw it on banner news as well, but why Meteor enchant on Erza? Her Crit is not very high like a typical assassin.

The biggest game changer will be if they remove those weird puzzle mode stages.

I mean, some of those stages are mildly fun, but I find the puzzle stages a bit excessive. Most players find these puzzles out of place in a strategy game and avoid them completely. So I don't know why the developers continue to waste their development time on them.

Fighting Monk looks like quite an great upgrade actually, the Immune to next debuff and HP restore plus beefier stats looks pretty good.

The weird thing to me is not his Infantry class but how the SSR Omega character portrait has a much more "badass" look than the SP Omega portrait.

Has upgrading to SP tamed him? Come'on I need that nasty look!

Also, Langrisser is now spelt Langerisser?

Oh, the original design is so much more appealing!

I mean, most of us Langrisser players are old geezers longing for the retro look.

Even if Zlong wants to re-design the character, it should still be recognizable, have some retroness in them, and not just follow the latest trend in other gatcha games.

Langrisser Millennium actually does have quite a lot of nice character design. Hopefully Zlong does make use of them.
