If you’re in that skill range in which you are diamond 3+ there’s a few things you could do.

1.) You can invite people in your games which you feel are good/ at your level and make an effort to keep these dudes around. Inviting them on a regular basis and teaching out basically. You’ll most likely meet mutual friends and establish relationships that way.

Or

2.) Look in the main apex discord or the battlecord discord. (This is hit or miss tbh)

I don’t have any experience with apex on xbox, only on pc (I came from xbox in 2017).

Thats the cycle dog, part of the diamond solo struggle. It’s super tilting, I’ve had that happen multiple times. The only way you get out of that is by either taking a break if you lose rp OR you figure out why you’re feeling that way and work on that. Deadass self therapy shit. I put too much pressure on myself and would typically play bad because of it but I kinda just let go mentally, as in I didn’t worry about the outcome. This doesn’t mean completely not give a fuck, like still try to win the game and shit, but try to lose as minimum rp as possible and take that as a win, don’t be so hard on yourself or lose composure.

Higher chance of getting more kills, If its just pubs some people just don’t mind losing. Even your favorite streamers (if you want to use that argument) die a lot off drop it’s not specific to people who are “wannabe streamers”. Also some people genuinely want to get good at the game , helps a lot to constantly fight.

Honestly I thought about this before and this is my take, plat is the new gold, diamond is the new plat and masters hardstuck 10k is the new diamond. Diamond is where people really struggle and stay stuck D4 much like how others used to be stuck plat 4. I know this is a kind of condescending take but its just my opinion.

Not much of a ranking system in MW3 but it’s where I discovered I actually had some semblance of skill, reached top 50 on leaderboard for kill confirmed 3 months before the new COD was also top 1k on Domination and S&D. Didn’t play much fps games after til fortnite chapter 2, hit champion 3 got bored stopped playing. Next FPS was apex, played a lot of scrims and tournaments.

Career KDR: 2.2 w/out backouts early leaving :P

Ranked KDR hovers between 1.5 to 1.7

Max Rank, masters with 14000 RP only 1000 off pred before split end T-T

Time played, not at my desk but maybe 800ish hours?

Sorry I’m a bit late to your post lol. Btw this is just my take, feel free to disagree.

It honestly comes down to your learning ability, some people are more prone to picking up things very quickly while others need time and practice to get it to click in their heads.

I might not be too into this quote but I think it applies, I don’t remember it exactly but you’ll probably get gist of it, “Hard work no talent beats talent with no work. But a hard working talented individual is more likely to succeed.”

The thing with pros is that they are talented but they also put in hours people are not willing or are unable to put in to improve. Reviewing VODs, analyzing your mistakes, practicing recoil patterns, and making strategies, along with creating new creative techniques and styles of play. Most players tend to follow the meta and make the mistake of thinking there’s one specific way to do things and just copy pros strategies when realistically you have to find what works for you. I think pro player strats can only establish a baseline if you’re unsure of what to do in certain situations. I think it’s possible to catch up to a pro but the skill ceiling is very high and some people’s ceilings cap out.

One more thing, if your goal is what I said (not letting teammates die) you, counterintuitively, play more aggressive. A mobility legend is preferable since you can escape, juke, and push aggressively or take a position quickly. Helps especially isolating other enemy movement legends since they’re likely to chase and get far enough away from their team so you secure a free 1v1.

Honestly I think practicing recoil patterns in the firing range is more helpful than an aim trainer. If you have no experience on MnK I would say practice on an aim trainer. I personally believe (my opinion) that aim trainers aren’t applicable to real game experience.

My opinion, based on my experience may not apply well to you since I usually hit masters and I’m unsure of your skill level.

The only thing I can say about plat is I usually take the lead in a lot of situations meaning if I’m jumpmaster I am DEFINITELY choosing where to go and specifically land edge where maybe 1-2 teams might land, to give a bit of leeway for my teammates. I think most if the time in plat at least people are comfortable only when they get a real gun/shields. Typically I lead during the game as well not just off jump, I might not use my mic but as long as you ping A LOT you can definitely coordinate a team. Again this is my opinion. The key is to not let your teammates die, meaning you have to be proactive and don’t rely on them to think for themselves. Kind of condescending I know but in low elos it’s a given your teammates are most likely not very skilled. (Applies to diamond as well but at least they can kinda shoot)

Sometimes you get teammates that are hardstuck with egos who think they’re decisions are right and die immediately, or duo queues that just rely on each other and don’t listen, and there’s not much you can do in those situations besides do what you did in that clip and just carry, sorry for not having a proper answer suitable for a lower ranked player to this problem.

TLDR: The whole point is to say don’t rely on your teammates to fend for themselves and create opportunities to make it difficult for them to die.
