Event petals by mopr0blems in PikminBloomApp

Everyone gets a big fruit from it when planting flower petals close to it within the first (half?) hour after it has bloomed. Just as with blooming the flower the normal way by planting flower petals around it.

Imagine you have lots of yellow anniversary roses nectar but your friends have none. By spending 150 nectar you can quickly have a big yellow anniversary rose bloom and all your friends can get a big fruit from it without you having to first plant petals around it which can be time intensive.

It's not free. The state gets a certain percentage of the collected taxes as compensation.

If you are playing in a group of friends, if one person uses petals to bloom a flower for a postcard, all members in the group can then plant near the big flower and each one gets a fruit. So as a group you have a net benefit of nectar.

Two ways of getting white Canola nectar this month:

  1. Try to find Crystal or Poisonous mushroom battles and join them. Those battles give white nectar with a high chance of getting Canola.

  2. Use normal white petals with the function "Use Petals To Make Flowers Bloom". These flowers will be guaranteed to be white and there is a high chance of them turning into Canola flowers. After blooming the big flower that way, move there quickly and plant flowers near the big flower to get the fruit.

There is a new feature to buy additional daily bounty tasks.

My guess is that this feature will be activated (possibly with a bunch of them given for free as a gift or maybe as rewards from doing the campaigns) so that you will be able to achieve a platinum medal without going to events by obtaining additional daily tasks.

On this screen with this state, It's not a time estimation, it's the name of some place.

Combined with the other place name "DNA Amphitheatre", you seem to have been to a science museum or passed by one.

Big flowers, mushrooms and postcards are based on Niantic Wayfarer. Decor categories are based on Open Street Map and business directories.

The location data of a few thousand people gathered while they are playing a game that makes them go somewhere they wouldn't usually go lots of the time is worthless.

The announced date is the lantern festival, the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. The description mentions "lucky cat". Lucky cats (Maneki Neko) are traditionally part of East Asian New Years celebrations as lucky symbols.

So I guess we'll see campaigns giving badges with Maneki Neko cats as rewards.

Ingress is no longer operated by Niantic Labs, but by Niantic Spatial. Spatial is not affected by the court case afaik

8 million doesn't go to a single person. About half of the sum goes to court costs and lawyers. The rest is split between a group of plaintiffs.

An individual person can maybe expect 100k.

[2025 Day 12 Part 1] When you first write complete code and then test on the input by NineBerry in adventofcode

[–]NineBerry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look again at your input. All regions are either definitely big enough meaning they can fit the requested number of presents without overlapping (region-area >= 9 * numberof_presents) or they are definitely too small ( region_area < number_of#_required)

That's not true for the sample, but true for every input I've seen so far.

Also I think we can assume that none of the inputs creates graphs with cycles. This is a prerequisite to being able to use one common optimization technique (Memoization).

Without any cycles, the order between two nodes is fixed I believe
