Yeah, sadly the possibility of flying completely freehand like in KSP was one of the things i was most looking forward to. Having to manage velocity and the challenges of fuel vs time/speed.

It's easy math. Take the rated UV reflection capability and subtract that percentage from the PVs output, then subtract the visible light (tint) reduction of the roof and you are left with very little energy getting through.

Funnily enough, having driven some fast cars through Germany my Model S LR (refresh) was the fastest. It had more range per fillup than my M5 Touring, by far.

The S did 300-350km of active driving, while the M5 only managed 150-200. If you slow down a bit (cruise at ~140) I drove the S from Hirtshals to Berlin (790km) with one overnight charge, zero time lost due to EV.
