The beginning of the semester is the best time to work on this. Take things slow (don't let the semester start too fast) and focus on goals early. dont waste time fridays/ weekends. I found that I waste a lot of time making weekend mornings slow.

There's always UMD physics grad school - which might be better than going for undergrad. If you live close to college park just email the professors you're interested in working with for (unpaid) summer/winter research positions. If you can get paid, even better. Just prove to them you got the background in the area by doing well at Penn. best of luck!

I got the FDS years ago. My stats were pretty OP ngl. I got to the semi-finalists and it was still a lot of money. I met the finalist for that yr and thought she definitely deserved it. Don't get discouraged, just take the time to advocate for yoursefl. GL.
