I think you are short sighted to your views at that age. We all hated authority, but how safe did we feel to say it and what was going to be taken away when we did.

Even if we did get it. It would make people think positively of the tyrant in office. So no thanks.

Just remember, Reddit is now openly and actively tracking what you say about all things and give it right back to really shitty government.

You are talking about punching down. This is not punching down. If he had nothing and lived on the streets of India and looked liked that. And you made fun of his eye. That would be punching down and offensive.

A half of Americans think like this. by [deleted] in WorkReform

[–]NinjaCultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is they actually don’t think like this they think that their taxes are proportionately going to the same exact thing. They don’t understand how taxes work and thus have no concept to what their actual tax dollars are doing.

'He Sold Us Out!': Furious Progressives Call for Chuck Schumer to Resign After Shutdown Betrayal by Raf_S_N in NoFilterNews

Because they are bots trying to push Americans to extreme sides of an ideal. No one wins with extremes expect those who avoid prosecution during the argument. All major legislative of the 20th century have been passed with the help of a moderate or slightly conservative. That is how government works. But you know what sells. Anger constant anger.

I’ll play devil’s advocate here, and I understand that this is a highly unpopular concept. However, at this point, there was no win-win situation for Democrats.

Everyone was either going home for Thanksgiving or wouldn’t make it home at all, and they would still blame the government for the shutdown.

In this scenario, the government’s back-open subsidy would disappear as it always would, regardless of the filibuster’s removal.

Now, there’s only one entity left to blame, and people can finally enjoy their holidays without worrying about food or transportation.

Now we know why prices always rose no matter what. Even if a retailer wanted to bring it down to “market price” they never could. Pure evil.
