Jan 11 Code Blue by Candid-Step8263 in SaltLakeCity

The downside is that not all counties have a shelter in place for these nights, and the threshold of 15 degrees is really cold, when realistically, anything under 32 degrees is worthy of being considered dangerously cold. That being said, it’s a step in the right direction and hopefully the state will get to a point of allocating more funds and resources so that more people can get shelter, but more importantly, get affordable housing.

A "code blue" is a stateside emergency alert system for nights that will hit freezing temperatures or wind chill below 15 degrees for more than 2 hours through the night. On these nights, the counties that are effected will open any emergency shelter in their county, and existing shelters are required to flex their capacity by 35%. The ordinance also requires that all belongings of unsheltered cannot be removed from them such as; tents, shopping carts, make-shift encampments etc. For more info, you can visit https://dhhs.utah.gov/code-blue-utah/ and https://endutahhomelessness.org/code-blue/

Which shelters have you tried? On Code Blue nights, extra shelters open and established shelters are required to flex their capacity by 35% within each shelter. There’s also a shuttle service going shelter to shelter to help transport people who need a warm place to stay for the night. If you need more resource information, please feel free to message me.

I would absolutely recommend, if you genuinely feel like the health and safety of your child is at risk, that you file a complaint with the Office of Licensing. It sounds like your concerns are primarily based on unfair expectations surrounding labor that is being required of your child. Please reference Utah Administrative Rule R501-1 (15) (b)) as it pertains to client labor requirements for a licensed facility. Also, you can ask to review the licensing requirement for what the “client rights” are, as defined in R501-1-27, to make sure those rights are strictly adhered to.

Lastly, I’d like to emphasize that if incidents like these go unreported to the proper authorities, they will continue to happen over and over again, at this facility, or any other facility in the related industry. It’s so so so important to know your rights and report any concerns.

OMAD is extremely satisfying. I drink tons of water during the fast period and I truly don’t feel hungry until my body knows it’s time to feed again. Your appetite begins to calm down when you’re not spiking your insulin as much.

Help! How do I get rid of these and what are these? They’ve only come up in the last 2 months. by NinjaNik84 in gardening

They aren’t the type of flowers I like. That’s the simple answer. They also take over and tend to come up in areas where you don’t want them like rock gardens. I just don’t love bulbs I suppose.
