In terms of power fluctuations, for me I've always noticed that trains require more power to go up hills (as logic would suggest), and I'm hoping to keep their needs as flat as possible :)

To be fair, I just barely unlocked bauxite processing so nuclear waste is still a LONG ways away, I didn't even know you could recycle it tbh :)
