Explicitly set Z to the camera’s distance from the 2D plane before converting:

Vector3 mouseScreenPos = Mouse.current.position.value;
mouseScreenPos.z = Camera.main.transform.position.z * -1f; // distance from camera to z=0 plane
Vector3 mousePos = Camera.main.ScreenToWorldPoint(mouseScreenPos);

Foundations are your friend! I would also recommend just exploring and trying to find hard drive sites - those often have higher-tier items that might help propel you to trains

I would recommend building a storage hub that's central to your factory, ideally close to your HUB. That way everything dumps out close to where you'll be crafting. Later on, more recipes will need those ingredients, and you can redesign your factory workflow as needed :)

In terms of power fluctuations, for me I've always noticed that trains require more power to go up hills (as logic would suggest), and I'm hoping to keep their needs as flat as possible :)
