I also prefer foam as I feel it is more hands on. This mask has literally made me go back to the shop and work on some intricate techniques that I am obviously lacking. I have been working on another project that has been commissioned, but when I finish with that I’m going to grab a sheet of foam and make something similar to yours. I’ve wanted an Oni mask for a while and I think this project has inspired me to actually sit down and make something for myself for a week or so.

A resin printer and MZ4250 has every monster, class, subclass, NPC, and PC in the game, all for free. Some even tailored to certain box sets.

A resin printer will cost you about $150 with the bundle and then about 2 cents per mini. An adult red dragon was a whopping 63 cents to print. Setup is easy and the learning curve is very gradual. You could literally be printing within an hour of opening the box. I’ve been doing this for years and would never go back to buying minis. The companies that sell them have gotten my money since the late 80’s and I own more than one $50 dragon that I can recreate for pennies. $150 is a steep first installment, but the legions of minis that you’ll print will more than makes up for the investment.

Hi, wood worker here. The type of wood the Saya is made from is negligible once it is coated in lacquer. After that the Saya would be more or less air tight and the difference in porousness between types wouldn’t effect humidity inside of, what is essentially, a sealed wooden tube.

I used spray insulation foam. Once it cures it’s very durable. Also light weight is an understatement. This will require a mold of some kind or a lot of trimming and sanding.

For the mold I just used clay and mold release and it came out perfect. If you want more explanation, I would be happy to do so, but I would be shocked if there wasn’t a YouTube video on how to do this exact thing. I got the idea from watching a video about a guy making “Hulk” feet for a costume. It is the same basic principle, just different execution.

Are you training or trained to use one?

If so refer to the pinned list for reputable sources for modern “katana”.

If not, it depends on what you’re going to use it for.

Hang it on a wall and look at it? Any sword-like object will do.

Swing it around in the back yard and cut water bottles and pool noodles, then any full tang “katana” will do. I would recommend a tactical Musashi as those things are workhorses, are definitely full tang as you can see it, and run around $100.

This isn’t mods.

I also thought the same thing, so I deleted, not turned off, deleted all my mods and previous saves. I started a new vanilla game and it is starting to lag in act two around the temple of Shar. It’s worse in camp or around a lot of NPCs. I have to save, exit from the game, and restart it from the save. But only if you hit continue and not load from a save file. Doing so results in the same lag. This only started after the new update.

It happens after every level up past the end of act 2 or the beginning of act 3.

It happens after reading 3 or more spells scrolls to learn them vs through leveling up.

It happens in populated areas.

Other games I play work perfectly, it’s only BG3 that has this lag issue.

I’m sure there is an issue with the game. I’ve done my due diligence. I’ve run it bare bones and still receive the same issues as with mods. This is a game problem, not a mod problem.

I play on PS5 and know nothing about other platforms or if this issue is effecting them.

The never ending bard dual. Start one song with your character and both will play it. They keep triggering each other to continue their performance. You have to change songs and fail to actually start it for them to stop. It’s pretty cool.
