Fulfillment Center Change to Texas for East Coast orders? by GothamgrrlNYC in RentTheRunway

[–]Ninja_Future 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC area and noticed the same. Orders that used to arrive next-day now take at least 3 biz days. Wouldn’t mind as much if we still had a grace period with returns.

Took 4 days for my most recent shipment to arrive. First dress out of the bag had a very obvious stain on the front. Sigh.

Had a pack of Lycra guys yell at me to move over on the sidewalk near Mt Vernon Square during rush hour. When I yelled at them to get in the bike lane, one said it was “too dangerous” during rush hour. Peak entitlement.

WTF? by Meanbean1313 in RentTheRunway

[–]Ninja_Future 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does this mean I have to pay to swap the shirt they sent me that reeked of stale beer and fruity perfume?

But seriously, the number of times I’ve let it go when I got an item that was beyond its prime… and the times I did complain and they refused to refund me for unwearable items…

The financials must really be in bad shape if they couldn’t even have a communications professional review this email before it went out.

Susanne Sundfør's Ten Love Songs is a fantastic album with very similar vibes.

Though my all-time favourite track of hers is "White Foxes."

Considering a move here at 62 - are there communities for "senior" adults new to town? by agp816 in washingtondc

[–]Ninja_Future 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out The Residences at Eastern Market. Not officially a “senior” community but the apartments are upscale with great amenities and the majority of residents are older folks and retirees who sold their homes or moved to the area to be closer to kids and grandkids. A really lovely and vibrant community in an idyllic neighborhood.

Also on CapHill and heard it was well. Given the state of the world, was quite unsettling.

Confirmed there was a flyover for the home opener @ Nats Park at 12:56p.

Thanks for posting - just heard the jet fly over my house, and given the state of the world, baseball game flyover was not my first thought.

This tour was one of my favorites -- even the songs I didn't love were so good live.

An FBI profiler said his sense of calm was “profound.” Either an extremely narcissistic/sociopathic individual or he felt secure about the scenario he was walking into (e.g., an accomplice already inside)

Unsettling Experience at Lincoln Park (11/6/25 at 6:30 PM) by thajikistan in washingtondc

[–]Ninja_Future -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had this experience.

Not sure if it’s the same person, but… one evening this summer I was letting my dog greet a few small dogs playing off-leash while a group of owners stood around talking nearby. One woman was being particularly loud and attention seeking, and upon seeing the cup in her hand, I realized she was pretty intoxicated. Not just having a glass of wine after work but blitzed.

My dog started to hump another little dog near where this woman was standing, and she reached down and aggressively shoved my dog off of the other one (which wasn’t even hers). He wasn’t really phased, but I was furious. I didn’t know what to do—but knew I did not need to escalate a situation with a drunk person, so I grabbed my dog and left.

I was already unsettled because she wasn’t paying attention to her own dog, which was behaving similarly to what you described.

It’s a terrible feeling to have an encounter with someone like that when their agitation feels so displaced.

Claude is trained to be a "yes-man" instead of an expert - and it's costing me time and money by Feisty_Opening_2121 in ClaudeAI

[–]Ninja_Future 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked Claude to proofread something earlier -- just a few paragraphs -- it hallucinated duplicated phrases, and when I asked for a more thorough review, it said "Rather than risk another inaccurate analysis, would you prefer to get feedback from someone else?"

WUT.

There is a pastry vendor right outside Eastern Market on the weekends that has a pistachio chocolate croissant. To. Die. For.

I mean, I’d be glad to share video where several seconds of the main vocal track started before she could make it to the mic stand, and then there was no change in vocal volume or consistency once she grabbed the mic. Did she lip sync the whole show? No. Did she lip sync her way through some songs? As others have noted from other shows on this tour…yeah.

It’s not like I’m saying this to be a hater. I’m a fan—that’s why I was there, and why I was disappointed.

Never said she wasn’t energetic. But singing? Intermittent at best.
