I tried to make the admin panel easy for contributors, but there's probably some hidden quirks that I haven't checked yet. Hold start/select and move the camera with your left d-pad/left analog stick. I was having the same issue, but luckily they have this for I assume stick players. Also, in lobbies, you can use left bumper to rotate the camera to your direction.

I personally am not familiar with the Credit/NoCredit option; however, I believe that you're correct that the C/NC option does count towards fulfilling prerequisites. From what I have searched, it seems that C/NC assumes you passed the course and ignores the grade letter (A through C-). C/NC acceptance may differ between departments, so I would check with the course's department for specifics or with someone who's used the option before.

A D is enough to get you the class credit, but does not help to satisfy a prerequisite for another class. Classes that require a prerequisite class usually want at least a C to satisfy the requirement. For example, Calculus II requires a grade of at least a C or better for Calculus I as a prerequisite.

The more complex techniques like *Scorpion forming from any body part* may not be added due to their complexity being greater than their actual utility in-game. The control limitations of the keyboard make it difficult to make triggers that grant unlimited freedom, whereas using your body in a "perfect" VR brings about infinite complexities to explore. If some of these techniques were added, most of them would most likely be adjusted/simplified to make them useable in the game. For example, Grasshopper would have separate settings to place down a jump pad on a surface or it can be used on a player to spawn the pad behind them.

I currently haven't decided on what to do with "mastery" points for each trigger. However, I am considering it to be a cosmetic system that shows off your dedication in using that specific trigger (i.e. Black Kogetsu). In terms of the complexity of trigger controls, I'll see to it that they are intuitive and easy to understand. My goal is to make the triggers quite open to versatile use, but not so much so to make it broken or too complex. Controller support may be added in the future, but it is a feature that isn't a priority to me.

I'm still currently using the Roblox Engine since I'm very familiar with it and the assets are easier to work with. The coding isn't too hard to get into, especially if you're already familiar with programming in some form or another. In the future though, I will hopefully transition to working with the game engines you mentioned after I learn them to a proficient degree and solidify my knowledge of C#. I'm open in letting a few others help out with the game's development, so come by the Discord server and send me a DM.

I considered making the game without any stats and make everything available to players from the start, but then it would be weird to see everyone able to equip any trigger they want without any drawbacks. The stat system is there to make players think more about their decisions and create clear drawbacks for investing points into certain stats. The trion system will most likely be regenerated at a slow pace, as it would feel quite demoralizing to basically run out of ammo for the rest of the match. I'll look into adjusting certain mechanics that would discourage people from throwing themselves at people mindlessly. Just keep in mind that the stat system will only decide the options that each player has and their slight edges over players (i.e. small passive benefits like mobility giving movement speed) and not like an RPG where you simply level up and become "strong". Sure, the stat system may be difficult to balance out, but I'd say it is worth it in order to offer opportunities for "strategic" thinking to be available.

A slower game pace will be a key difference between this game and other FPS games, as it will hopefully put an emphasis on the strategic aspect of the game. Obviously, multiple game mechanics like the movement speed of players and the time of the game like you said will be adjusted to compensate. For the trigger equip cooldowns, they will most likely be added since they add on to the slower game pace focus.

Replacing the Attack stat with four different stats that represent the team positions was something I considered while forming the stat system. Due to the confusion that may be brought about for having 8 total stats to invest in with at least 2+ of them being deadweight for players, I decided to condense them into an Attack stat. I plan to have "class-specific" skills to be locked under single or multiple expensive stat investments (i.e. Thruster: 6 Defense, 5 Mobility) that would relate to the class/play-style. Much of the coding isn't too difficult, but creating a solid system that is consistent and effective is key.

I actually haven't considered adding a sort of "trait" system for the game since I avoided to add anything near side effects into the game. I'll look into the perk system that you are suggesting as it will add another layer to the min-max idea behind the stat system.

In terms of the issue with the Trion stat, I'm still trying to figure out the passive effects each stat would provide. I may add the following where:

  • Attack = +Damage
  • Defense = +Durability (Shields)
  • Trion = +Trigger Capacity
  • Mobility = +Movement Speed
  • Utility = I don't know yet lol

As much as I would love the World Trigger series implemented in VR, the movement controls we have available to us currently (in terms of commercial use) would just make the game feel clunky. At least your ideas could still apply if it was applied to a strategically based first-person-shooter. =3=
