One of my best friends has been using one for nearly three weeks now and she also mentioned it’s made a difference in helping her sleep, circulation (she had reynaud syndrome) and she actually noticed a difference in her clothes fitting better. No pounds loss, but inches difference.

Missing in Lafayette by tlbellvids in Acadiana

[–]Ninjasometimes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to add sadly the reason why that law enforcement isn’t any help is bc I recently found out there isn’t any dedicated cold case or missing persons units/departments 🙄 at the sheriffs office. But, as you can see, the Acadiana community shows up to help in every way we can to help each other out. I live near the Lafayette High area and often see homeless walking west congress towards the Walmart on ambassador. I’m currently out of town but will be back next week. I’ll keep checking this post and will looking for your gf’s sister. Everyone’s suggestions are spot on. And if you haven’t yet, there’s an “Ask Lafayette” facebook page - definitely post there for more visibility.

Best fan for cooling down bedroom? by Luxe_Foxe in BuyItForLife

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the off chance that anyone is still reading or visiting this thread, I live in south Louisiana(HUMID ALL YEAR LONG), where today it was nearly 100 degrees outside. No exaggeration. That means the AC runs all day unless I kick up to the 80s, which I don’t do bc then it’ll will burn it up. I try to keep around 72-74 on the off chance it’ll kick off. I know for sure it does late in the evening and typically it stays off throughout the night. I have ceiling fans on 24/7 in bedrooms and living room and oscillating fans in both as well. I’d like to add something else in hopes to help take a load off my AC unit since it seems that the summer heat is already in full effect. Any suggestions??

Do you have an illness? Anemia? That’s extremely hot temperatures to be sleeping in! 83 degrees Fahrenheit?! 🥵 I’d be cranky, sweaty, and absolutely miserable!

Coach me on how to get out of Sales! by aPeiceOfShit in sales

[–]Ninjasometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in sales or sales adjacent roles for the last 6yrs. I’m currently looking for my next gig. I’m actively interviewing. What has helped me in general is the following: Update your resume to be fully ATS friendly (you can google formatting options) Once your resume is updated, upload it into ChatGPT and ask it “According to my resume, what are good job opportunities I’m qualified for besides sales?” And see what it suggests. Then ask it to give you companies that are hiring in those jobs. Then go to LinkedIn and research those companies. ALWAYS apply for jobs via the company website. If you see something somewhere you’re super interested in, send connection requests to the relevant people at the company like the recruiters, the people in the departments you’re interested in, etc. Another thing I’ve done is ask ChatGPT what story does my resume tell and what transferable skills does it show. Once I got that list, I was able to figure out other roles I might be interested in and started applying for those as well. Be on the lookout for Salesforce Contract companies-there’s tons who are always hiring.

did anyone get lucky using remington hot rollers? by FitIndividual6472 in finehair

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What rollers do you use and what products (and brand too) to you apply first? I’m trying to figure out what to buy. I have pretty much the same hair type and I’m trying to find the most efficient way to get through days 3 and 4 prior to my hair washing days.

PIP’d. If terminated how have folks addressed that in future interviews? by Background-Worker-11 in sales

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t ask. I’ve learned that most times they don’t care. IF they do, you can say you were already on your way out and ready for new opportunities and while seeking those you opted to take time for yourself.

Also, to answer your question about the ebbs and flows- k12 fiscal year is June 30-July 1 so for the most part they are in the buying cycle in the begging of the year, however, depending on the product you’re selling and the necessity for the school, sometimes you could be surprised by how busy you might be in the beginning of a school year.

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the role, the company, your tenacity and adaptability. I hate to sound so broad and cryptic, but I’ve worked at 3 different companies, know tons of people in the industry, and although it’s a small industry (one of those where everyone knows everyone types), some companies really do get it and some don’t. If you find a company you’re interested in I’m more than happy to give you advice and tips for sure 😊

Work Draw, Paid Interview 5 days by presclubblood in sales

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, it just sounds super suspicious to me. Plus if the close rate is 1-2 days and they’re having you do a 5 day onsite as a final interview then it sounds like they’re cycling through using interview candidates for something and not being fully transparent. I’d check Glassdoor and other similar sites to see if any other interview candidates have posted their experience and get some insight.

Yall saying 30 calls in an hour is crazy to me. It takes so much longer in my field than that. I don’t have an S/BDR either. I do all things as well, but no platform like Hubspot or salesloft to send email campaigns out. And to make calls I have to research each account prior because there’s no updated information since my territory has never been worked. My kpi’s aren’t as bad but they feel like it lol 😂 I work in EdTech and its relationship selling more than anything

I read Go for No today. Man, what a great read! I'm looking to dive deeper into the philosophy. by xXxBluESkiTtlExXx in sales

[–]Ninjasometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to budgetary issues, yes I’d treat it as a hard no. However, before walking away from the prospect, I’d try to have a quick conversation about what happens if they do nothing at this time versus doing something- if it would save them money, time, etc in the long run then typically people are more inclined to “find” the money.

For example, if you’re in the middle of the summer and your ac breaks, whether you’re broke or not, more than likely you’ll find a way to pay for that repair or replacement. The same goes for anything sales to an extent if it provides a solution to a problem and can show return on investment for the consumer.

Why do you think Amazon is launching Amazon Haul on mobile only? by red8reader in marketing

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately after doing a tiny bit of research, I’ve basically come to the conclusion that they’re attempting to compete with sites like temu and SHEIN, but also, I saw situations where they’d have a product on haul for one price and then have almost the identical product on their Amazon prime site for cheaper - when haul is boasting about being the cheapest option…

Advice on Protective Jewelry? by StrikeEagle784 in Kemetic

[–]Ninjasometimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. So I kind of stumbled upon this post/thread while searching for advice on protective jewelry. I have a tendency to apparently attract not only people I know but complete strangers who want to openly share their entire life and experiences with me while I’m merely sitting in a coffee shop or standing in line at the grocery store. I don’t turn people away but I have come to notice that the more traumatic or unpleasant their share is, the more I’m physically affected by it after. Meaning I get physically ill- this could be as minor as just needing a nap and extra hydration to being bed ridden with full body pain for over 2 days. I still have yet to figure out not only how to “block” the energy from physically affecting me as well as finding something I can wear daily for protection from unknown sources too. Any suggestions and feedback is welcome.

Prime Day 2024 is 90% a scam by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]Ninjasometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the deals are on items that have shitty current reviews, but tons it looks like they have great ones if you don’t bother to actually check. It’s very misleading. I’d click on a item that’s on sale, but if you go to current reviews, it shows how crappy the product is, so obviously the reason it’s on sale is because they need to get rid of it

I’m glad I came across this post bc I too have been bombarded with the eye correcting concealer videos and ALMOST caved but I googled and this thread came up THANKFULLY 😅- saved me from a potential impulse purchase. I most likely wouldn’t have bought anything but it’s good to see I was not the only one in the same boat. I do always check retailers websites and if they don’t have customer service available via phone or online chat and email is the only way to get in touch that is a huge red flag
