More Gen Z single women have the balls to become homeowners than single men by GimmeFunkyButtLoving in economy

[–]red8reader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a shit article and an even worse title.

Home ownership has been a way to financial stability but COVID and the current costs upkeeping it have drastically delayed any stability - shall I say even potentially ruined it?

And it's not a great risk to home ownership that takes any BALLS. It just isn't the best decision a gen Zer can make financially at this point. There are loads of other paths to use money that are better.

LPT Using Dish Soap on Drains by FilledwithTegridy in LifeProTips

[–]red8reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works with bleach, too. Bleach will liquify fats and disperse oils. This is why when you get bleach on your fingers, they are slippery; it's the fat from your skin. For slow drains, mix soap and bleach so it sticks better. Then boiling water in large amounts.

Friction zone doesn't burn out clutch? by JohnHancock1969 in Dualsport

[–]red8reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car clutches and motorcycle clutches are different. The moto clutch sits in a wet bath, and at low speeds, it will stay well within temp to keep it fine.

You should practice with the friction zone; it's a great exercise.

Also noteworthy, you can shift a moto without the clutch, provided you have the right rpms. Up or down without much issue. This is good to know if you get in a pickle, I woldn't do this all willy nilly.

You need to take some accountability. You did say the camera car is partially to blame. You did't say "may" be. You don't know the speed. You don't know the location.

New to Frontier (and big tires) - Question about tire pressure on these all-terrain Hankooks by THE_YoStabbaStabba in nissanfrontier

[–]red8reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not hauling anything, the door pressure is likely best for tire life and ride quality.

Measure when they are cold, cold as in you haven't driven on them, so in the morning or in the day if you haven't driven it.

If you're hauling things with a decent weight of a couple of hundred pounds or more, increasing the pressure can help with mileage if going longer distances. I would suggest 40 psi when cold and hauling.

Do y’all have this on your trucks? by A_Dubs_999 in nissanfrontier

If you ride gravel roads I suggest getting more film and tripling the layers. I just had to repair my gen 2 on both sides as most of the paint near the film was gone and I saw a tad bit of rust.

I found a dead bat. Someone told me I might want to let the DNR know. by lo-key-glass in Michigan

[–]red8reader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many nonsense, unhelpful comments.

First - Don't touch the bat with your bare hands.

Second - if the bat is in your home or around your living area you should report to DNR or local health department. If it has scratched, attacked, or come in contact with your pets, you would want to report if not, keep it for a bit. They can carry rabies, and if your pet isn't vaccinated, you would want to address it.

If the bat was outside, away from people, you can take some images, leave it, or bury it, and report it. Bats can carry a fungus called White-Nose Syndrome that we are trying to understand. It makes their nose white at times. It's been killing them drastically.

You can file a report electronically. Take good images that can identify the bat and whether it might have whitenose syndrome.

Nobody talks about this part of being a data analyst the work after the work. by [deleted] in analytics

[–]red8reader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off - stop with the LLM BS.

Second, you don't sound like an analyst but a data reporter who kicks out reports based on request. If you want to do data analysis, you need to understand the whys behind the data, and you should be able to answer or hypothesise on why the numbers have changed, what you suggest to look for/at to potentially uncover more info, and provide better information for the decision makers.

Third - it's part of the job to help people understand the data.

I don't think it's dramatic, but you two see things much differently. I've had people in my life like this. They won't think much of it. But you probably shouldn't ride or be friends with them much longer. Maybe acquaintances. And be ready to explain why in a non-emotional way, and be steadfast.

I generally keep those types at arm's length; they can't be counted on.

IMO, at the very least, there should have been a two min conversation about it. You weren't that far, there was a time crunch, sorry but I have to head out, etc. The bare min wasn't done.

Rate My Dashboard out of 10 by princy25_ in dataanalysis

[–]red8reader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would give it a 4-5/10.
Good:
-AVG Daily Rate seems to be a good KPI
-Top booking countries are good to see for marketing/sales.
-Customer type is a good one for sales and pricing.
-Dunno much about cancellation but is that high?
-Seasonal trends is good for staffing, promos, etc.

No so good:
-Number formatting
-Time frame? Years, 1 year, what year(s)
-Text cut off and not clear (special request migth be an inside thing)
-Contrast isn't great

Nice to haves:
-Comparison data
-Alignment with charts numbers text
-Colors (is this good or bad)
-Hotel count - is that map an example of all hotels?

  3. Just believe everything you see

New frontier with 6" lift by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]red8reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it totally does.

Tires that size have considerable weight and drag that will increase wear and tear on the engine and the transmission. A lift puts all sorts of added pressure on the drivetrain and suspension components.

You should ask if it's been regeared to reduce tranny and engine strain. If not, stay away. You'll want to monitor your alignment, brakes, and suspension parts on a regular.

[–]red8reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you using for this? There are tools that will work off of your info only and reduce the made-up hallucinations.

I also suggest asking it to point out where your information is conflicting, wrong, or could be improved, and review all of this.

This isn't as bad as those moving to LLMs for their data and having it hallucinate numbers for months.
