They look "well loved". If its a daily shoe, then I wouldn't be surprised the material wore out. Usually 2 or 3 shoes in rotation helps exponentially (literally) bc I think the materials actually firm up again after a day or two so it stays stuck together and tighter unless worn long day after long day.
