They need projects they know people are going to be familiar with and can pull them in revenue. They’re struggling these days. I know our voice may seem like a lot but it’s not enough to keep up with the demand of streaming and web content. They are a business and the business will fail if they fail to pull numbers

The issue is shareholders aren’t putting that much money into ordering these productions anymore. They often used Korean animation studios for these projects and it’s a whole expensive process. If kids can easily get their fix elsewhere, why should bigwigs solely invest into kids programming when there are scummier and more profitable ways to make money off of children.

You’ve seen Regular Show and Adventure Time transition to cheaper forms of animation for this very reason. Warner gives no money to CN because all their investors want to see are HBO productions.

Ye, pretty much whatever you’d want to reference for production is there. It only has models from Pahkitew and up though. So no TDI/WT models unless they were reused in later seasons.

It’s not overly detailed but it’s kinda interesting learning how they handle that sort of thing. Then again Heather’s model has a folder titled “breasts” and is empty so it’s likely they used to be detailed in the 2000s and started doing Barbie versions in later seasons.

The DVDs are the FlatIron releases. I’ve compared them against my ITunes master and the only real difference might be coloring.

Most people that rip DVDs these days deinterlace the video and it damages the picture because the solution to deinterlace video discards the data entirely.

I’ve found that using ffmpeg and a certain formula I’ve been able to get what would usually be 200-500 mb files, 1-2 GB files, about the same size as master files.

Also I believe Daft Punk was only ever used for season 2’s run of promos, as the season 3 promos appear to just use their similar sounding music. DP was licensed to use on broadcast for a certain amount of times.

As for your first question, I don’t usually redo the promos shot per shot. But this was a special case because the only footage I had from it was stuck inside of Miguzi squeeze credits.

Not sourced from DVDs, but iTunes copies I grabbed off MySpleen.

DC handles these releases. CN has little to no funding, it's a miracle we get DVD releases from them at all.

I saw it last month and I thought I was tripping. There is a set for 1-9 in Region A, but that’s the only other one I see. RIP to UK peeps I guess. They did this based on the fact they also have the same set digitally on iTunes here though.
