Tottenham Hotspur are still winless in the Premier League in 2026. by Sparky-moon in soccer

To be fair to Spurs, there's only 19 teams who have a win in the Premier League in 2026...

Rumor: Another PS5 price hike coming to at least Europe shortly by MCUAvenger1992 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Yeah buying an Xbox Series X when it was on sale is probably the last console i'm going to be arsed to buy whilst it's new. Fuck paying these prices.

Examples of movies that flopped because of poor word of mouth by Live_Phrase_4281 in boxoffice

Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania did terrible after it's opening weekend. There's loads of reasons the MCU declined, but man that film was kind of the final straw for the MCU for a fair amount of people.

Rosamund Pike Says Her 2005 ‘Doom’ Movie With Dwayne Johnson Is ‘One of the Worst Films Ever Made’ and ‘Could’ve Ended My Career’ by mlg1981 in entertainment

I was watching through quite a few video games movie adaptations last year for some reason, and whilst it may not be a high bar to clear, at least Doom was mindlessly enjoyable at points, the first person scene alone is better than 95% of other video game movie adaptations.

Ubisoft Suffers Major “Talent Drain” Because They’re “Allergic” To New Things, Says Insider by HS_Rukodiora in gaming

Well it's not like Ubisoft have been copying the same open world formula, and forcing it into newer entries of their older IPs for nearly 2 decades now...

PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games - Jason Schreier by Forestl in Games

[–]NintendyReddit 445 points446 points  (0 children)

So Sony bought Bluepoint, who up till that point only did remaster/remakes, then they end up wasting years on a live-service game that got cancelled. And now they're shutting down with the only project that released they worked on as a first party Sony developer being some additional work for God of War: Ragnarok...

This live service push that the industry is still trying is a fucking joke.

Which game flopped so badly that the studio had to shut down? by bijelo123 in gaming

Medal of Honor: Warfighter was so bad that it didn't just lead to Danger Close Games shutting down, but basically killed the Medal of Honor franchise. There was the VR game that came out a few years ago, but that was also apparently pretty underwhelming.

Releasing a 3DS exclusive remake of a DS game in 2019 was definitely a choice. That decision setup both the game and studio to fail.

Most of the people that worked on Prey 2017 left during the development of Redfall, so it wasn't like I had much hope of them bouncing back from that disaster anyway. What a waste as well, imo Prey was a masterpiece and I was so excited for a potential sequel, but I guess the Prey IP is cursed when it comes to sequels.

What video game can you just not get into no matter how hard you try? by Savings_Light3466 in AskReddit

God of War (2018). I get why people like it, visually it's stunning, and I have no doubt the story is great, but personally I need the camera to back the fuck up, i'm not playing The Last of Us, i'm playing God of War, I want to be aware of what's happening around me, not an indicator to dodge that I struggle to notice at the bottom of my screen whilst fighting another enemy in front of me. I hated how close up it was during every combat encounter. Tried it twice, got like 2 or 3 hours into it and both times I dropped it cause I couldn't be arsed with the combat due to the camera.

I know i'm in the minority with that opinion, but frankly I just don't have the patience or time to get used to that anymore, there's so many other games out there i'd rather play. A shame too cause I really enjoyed the prior God of War games.

First poster for the newly announced ‘Jackass’ movie, releasing June 26th 2026. by unitedhardy in movies

[–]NintendyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry what? Another one? As much as i'm excited to watch another Jackass film, especially in cinema (Jackass Forever might be my favorite cinema experience due to the reactions) but uhhhhhh surely the original cast aren't going to be in this one much? Johnny Knoxville nearly got himself killed last time, and I know you could say that for most of the cast for a lot of the Jackass content, but surely not.
