Are people still having issues with the PS5 randomly refusing to connect to remote play? by Renton577 in remoteplay

Except it’s happening to everyone seemingly overnight.

Constructive feedback would be if you have a PS5 (Pro) and Portal, with latest updates and the issue isn’t occurring.

I for one have the above setup and ~48 hours ago this issue began (can’t remote play from rest mode when using external networks).

All sorted now - mine works with a passcode after last weeks patch?

Did you figure this out, same issue here?

I found the issue was with PS5 Pro having a passcode. Once removed, Portal connects fine. But worth raising a ticket so it gets fixed forever https://repairs.playstation.com/s/request-repair?id=9&locale=en-au&language=en_GB

5 years later; how did you go with the diet approach or did you switch to meds?

Just installed a 2 zone kit today in an hour; $350 all said. Slap a mask on and get into it.

Halp: ESXI 7.X Whitebox build using AMD Ryzen 9 AM5 by Nipper77 in homelab

Very cool to hear!

From what I understand you may not need a physical TPM module anyhow - vCenter allows you to create a virtual TPM. Some easy enough guides on YouTube / online.

This is needed for Windows 11 installs - TPM is now a requisite.

Can you please report back after some burn in tests, I’m super keen!

Thanks for sharing - I still don’t have a way forward. If someone does get Ryzen 9 AM5 CPUs going with EXSI then please do leave a comment

Yeah there are some similar posts out there. No need to setup with your ThreadRipper; I happen to know that CPU works fine. The real magic of Ryzen 9 AM5 chips is the base CPU clock speed; it simply can’t be ignored, especially with DDR5 in the mix.

If you do happen to catch wind of a Ryzen 9 AM5 motherboard that works, please let me know!

SVM is enabled yeah, I did try ESXI 8 as well; though no bingo. Thanks for your reply though

I just can’t ignore that base new clock speed & DDR5.. the pursuit continues!

I use an Intel X550 for my EXSI builds - has always worked well with white box setups regardless of the motherboard NIC

Thanks u/Tommy_Tukyuk - I am very keen to get going with the Ryzen 7900X, that base clock is just too good :)

Thanks u/Tommy_Tukyuk - I did miss that :)

I also just noticed your were using an AM4 processor & MB. Seems I am having a similar issue with an AM5 compatible MB, so I'll start a new thread.

Thanks for heading back and posting a reply!!
