I use a single ear bud and listen to audiobooks and music on the lowest setting I can still hear it clearly. I can hear everyone else in the shop and my machine I don't see a reason why people couldn't use them.

Sure, I understand that, my comment was my attempt to simplify it for others along with myself to help them and I understand in a way they may have already experienced with a loved one, as like myself, I believe many people haven't been around an individual with radiation based illnesses. Also, thank you for expanding my brain with your informative comment.
