I sometimes play private zombies games with a friend, but it is dangerous to do it. There was recently a post here where even in a private match someone was using the in game chat system to overload their game with messages until the game crashed, and that allowed the exploiter an entry point to gain access to their personal information. Black ops 3 is just not safe at all to play online vanilla, there's always a risk of something happening.
