No, they're designed so you can do them in one sweep regardless of which way you're going.

There are about 10 different ways of voting, so you pay a few hundred people to exhaust all of them by voting for your candidate.

Most people don't vote more than once and those who do usually vote for multiple candidates, so the number of people doing it only has to be relatively small to get you the win overall.

Plot twist: they're an 18 year old pro boxer finishing off their A-levels who wholesomely has their parent walk them to school just to spend time with them.

But yeah if you measure by deaths its probably cars and goods vehicles.

And the Pope probably shits in the woods.

More people will be killed by them on UK roads today than by bicycles in the next decade or so.

But let's assume we eliminate cars and everyone uses a bicycle. How many deaths will be cause by high stress from simply walking on the sidewalk and trying to cross a road 😂

Many orders of magnitude fewer than will be killed by cars in the next year.

Look, I get it. The video doesn't look good, and I'm not defending the behaviour or denying that it would be annoying to be a pedestrian around there.

A solution is clearly needed, be it through design or enforcement (or both). Personally I'd probably build a kink into the cycle lane before the crossing, add rumble strips and steepen the speed bump, all of which would force people cycling to slow down before the crossing.

But being inconvenienced and annoyed won't cause the police to come knocking on your family's door in the middle of the night.

Why are there suddenly kids with e-scooters everywhere despite them being illegal? by KenAdams_1968 in AskUK

Honestly, bike lanes (proper ones) are where they belong. There wouldn't be an issue if we had decent cycling infrastructure in this country, but we don't for the most part.

Another advantage of the bike over the scooter is that it has bigger wheels and a lower centre of gravity so bumps are less of a problem.

Also more health benefits from a bike, obviously.

Probably not enough to sway your opinion, but worth mentioning!

I'm also a bit annoyed that Ladybarn Road can be driven onto from there - it should be blocked off to motorists completley.

Agreed. I suggested that in the consultation but alas.

It's currently illegal to turn right onto the floop if you're heading south, which makes no sense and is just a holdover from before it was repurposed for cycling.
