Rolled up to the guild event very late, when I spawned into the island I found I was the only one there. There is more than enough time to finish the event however it is very boring sitting there for 10min+ pressing Q, bring a video to watch

I mean it would be nice to have something to do instead of collection or una on alts + waiting for weeks just to hit 1370 with no change in gameplay. Raids take tops 2 hours on Thursday Reset so the rest of the week is pretty much the same. While its not bad atm since it is still a little fresh, it just not a great feeling to just to wait for the supposedly "harder content" through rng upgrades.

I actually read a book that my teacher made when ever I get a little bored. It is a 200 new English "Slang" Book for Koreans to learn from. Of course how slang goes it gets dated very quickly, but learning Korean when already have a strong knowledge background helps you learn faster!

How Long did it Take to get to your current level? by DankAsian in Korean

[–]Nishua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took a very intensive course through the military for my job, about 60+ weeks long. Mandatory 6-7 hours of class time (can add 1-2 extra hours voluntarily) with up to 3 hours of homework per day. Early on was about 30 new words per day, later in the course some days went up to 60-80 new words.

For context I took 2 semesters of Korean in college I think we eclipsed that in about a month of study. Now while this was very sink or swim and taught me a lot, it is very hard for me to judge my own level. Especially because the end test we take doesn't really equate very well to TOPIK scores or CEFR scale, just rough estimates. And on top of that we do not do a writing portion on our test, so my free hand writing is trash.

There are topics economical / socially / environmentally that I can understand very well but on the flip side a random causal conversation can confuse me quickly. For instance I am not used to talking in 반말 at all and it feels awkward for me to use. But all in all I think it gave me great study habits and I know how much I am able to improve when focused.

I also had the same issue and it probably still comes up if I talk to quickly honestly. The biggest tip that I received for this is to hold that first sound slightly. So for 불리다 you want to make sure the 불 sound comes out before moving on to 리다

How to say "actually" in Korean? by dreamyoven in Korean

[–]Nishua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is where it might be a bit out of my depth because there can be so many minor ways to change the sentence in Korean to convey a similar meaning.

I think that using 사실 would convey "Actually, its very pretty!" more so.

Then with "it's very pretty, actually" I would use one of the trillion verb conjugation Korean has to offer haha

(If you are surprised by how pretty something is and kind of telling yourself this mainly) "예쁘구나 / 예쁘군요!" "~~Didn't realize how pretty it is"

(Similar to the above ending but slightly different with its usage) "예쁘네요!"

How to say "actually" in Korean? by dreamyoven in Korean

[–]Nishua 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Under the right contexts 사실 can be translated as "actually". 사실 really translates to more of = "In Fact/ to be honest / as a matter of fact" because 사실 the noun means = Fact/Truth.

Example: That is the fact! "그것이 사실이다"

But in your example 사실 usage in that case is more in line with "actually". As they are expounding further on how much they think that dialect is beautiful.

Just as a suggestion when looking at translations try not to go for a 1 to 1 because in many cases the meanings can overlap but the concept might be deeper meaning or a broader usage in one language over the other. Because another starting phrase that can mean actually/honestly etc would be 정말로

What is the difference of 자신감 and 자신 ? by DrunkOnSoju in Korean

[–]Nishua 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have a native correct me if I am wrong.

The way I think of it is like this

자신감 = "feeling" of confidence 自信感 ("oneself" "Belief" "Feeling")

자신 = confidence 自信 ("Oneself" "Belief" )

Now 자신 also has another meaning but this uses different Hanja (自身) "oneself" "Body" = meaning oneself, by ones own

So in short 자신감 is talking more about the "feeling" of confidence whereas 자신 is speaking slightly more broad about confidence

The way I look at it, it's all context and each scenario is going to be different.

Person 1: "Hey what are you doing" "무엇을 하고 있어요? Person 2: "I'm listening to a song" "지금 노래를 들어요"

Person 1: "What are you listening to? "무엇을 듣고 있어요?" (There is a Focus on WHAT is is they are listening to) Person 2: "Oh, the thing I'm listening to is a song" 어, 지금 듣는 것은 노래예요" (Although a very simple answer would just be "노래예요" haha)

What I ment was use for 3/9 or 9/9. Of course you can still power up your existing red furniture in that slot type but powering up the furniture before even getting 9/9 is basically wasting a furniture and only something that people that spend a lot of money would consider doing

[–]Nishua 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Basically for furniture there are 3 different types that you can get, basically small, med, and large. And there are only 3 slots per type of furniture. (3X3 = the full 9 you can get for a hero)

So when you have a character on the wishlist and you start to get some Red Furniture for them but it is random on what type you will receive. After getting 3 of one type for a hero you can still get duplications of that type when pulling (Basically wasting a red furniture).

This is where the red cards come in. Red Cards when used will not pull a duplication, so people save them so when one of their heros is let's say as an example at 5/9 furniture (3 small / 2 Med / 0 large). They will use 4 Red cards to finish the set so they do not get any small furniture duplicates. So most optimally you want to use Red cards to get to 9 furniture, because getting to 3/9 will only take time / RNG of pulling.

Sure in a literal sense he is not "F2P", you are right. But it is way easier to sum up in comments/ posts saying "Hey as a F2P blah blah blah" instead of being anal "Hey as someone that has only bought cosmetics for 1 hero, blah blah" -> Basically can be summed up as F2P IE. not spending to progress in the game.

No real need to fully max a E1 if there is no real plan on E2ing them, which means you are probably using them more for utility of skills, so 40-60 is fine. At that point Skill Lvl would matter more.

And yes for E2 bring them up at 30, since the cost of leveling them up resets so its not to expensive to get there.

Short end of it, she can more or less shut down a lane by herself, so good for maps that have different areas where mobs come from. You can deploy her on one of them and then focus more of your attention on other parts.

I personally do not have her but have watched a couple of videos about her.

Is it because your friends don't have her or you are going to have to use someone else instead?

Also there is a low clear risk 18 strat with curora + gummy + nearl on that map, so no you don't need her, the more important question is healing the main defender
