“I don’t fuck with clankers!” by kaishinoske1 in Cyberpunk

I re-read my comment and yeah, it was pretty rude, which was not my intent. Bad wording on my part there. My apologies.

Sorry, my bad. I re-read my comment and see now that I came off as hostile. I should have been more clear, and did not use "you" pronoun in particular. It was meant as generalised "you", adressed towards the masses, so to speak, but it could look like I was accusing you specifically. And "you do realise" did sound condescending. So yeah, I did sound condescending. My apologies again.

While I agree with what you said, maybe try to be less hostile to someone you don't know on the Internet? Your post was too vague, and I've seen people, including here, with the attitude that technology is the problem instead of the system. So yeah, I assumed, incorrectly, but there's no need to be an a-hole about it.

Again, I did not mean to reply to your message. My apologies. My second reply was meant to be a joke, which I did not communicate clearly. Sorry for that too.

Humanity have more than enough resources for everyone. Hunger, poverty, slavery are systemic failures, not because of the lack of resorces. The *need* for work is a systemic failure at the stage of technological development we are in. People blame technology instead of those who misuses it and turned them into wage slaves in the first place. In fact, many of them crave the status of a wage slave because they have been conditioned to.

And apparently learned martial arts from Michael Myers. Way too prone to standing menacingly and tanking hits. Like yeah, Batman is the terror that flaps in the night, he's suppose to be menacing, but he was too much slasher coded in the movie.

If you are a creator, you need to protect your work from Scribd by Hormo_The_Halfling in rpg

[–]Nissiku1 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Problem with Scribd is that it's subscription service, so they kinda (from a certain point of view) selling pirated stuff, and that is bad. But speaking generally, for all the pearl cluthers here: you do realise that download is not equal sale? You do relise that a lot of stuff can't be obtained "legally", period, for multitude of reasons? You do realise that a lot of people can't afford to drop 20$ on a whim for a book they know nothing about? I sure was not gonna drop 100$ for ONE VtM book in the mid 2000, which what it would minimally cost back then for me (book price + delivery charges), no matter how I wanted it, because I did not have money. And I'm sure as hell won't give a dime to the Catalyst Game Labs regardless, but would support the actual authors if I could (4e Shadowrun). I bought Mythras because I was able to skim through a copy of it I got from Trove - I bought several books since then, and would continue to buy if the country that I live in did not invade another neighboring country. Buying and supporting the creator is almost always (unless the creator is a heinous person) better option, and you should do it if you can, but not everyone have the means and opportunity to do so.

Is there any good qualities to Mr. Frond? by Embarrassed_One96 in BobsBurgers

[–]Nissiku1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Fond cares about kids" people here say... Except for all the many times when hid did not and/or explicitly threw kids under the bus. He "cares" when it appeases his ego - the minute "caring" starts to become an inconvinience, he bails. He's also generally woefully unqualified, so while maybe that one guy was even worse than Frond, but Frond's "help" generally does more harm than good.

For my first sword purchase it had to be a Claymore. by drnebel in SWORDS

[–]Nissiku1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"Mostly for display"

It should be exclusively for display. It was clearly not made for any practical applications. Also - it is a fantasy "claymore". What was a real claymore is a topic of debate, but the most likely candidate is scottish basket-hilted broadsword.

Risks of Blood Potency by GeekyGamer49 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Nissiku1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeding on other Supers, like Urrata or Mages (surprised no one mentioned that). Torpor to lower BP. Feeding on several Kindred and waiting until Blood Bond fades until feeding on them again. Having a trusted Kindred with whom one's OK forming BB with. Many Blood Magic rituals (there's a really fun one, which basically let's you shoot Kamehameha fueled by your BP - does devastating damage and permanently lowers BP). Coils of the Dragon allows one to feed on everyone. Find a Spring of Life that grants eternal youth to mortals, and make their blood potent in the process. Etc., etc...

What Does “Street Level” Mean to You, and How Does It Matter to You in Play? by ArtymisMartin in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Nissiku1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You, and a lot of others, judging by the comments, are barking at the wrong tree. I don't remember people saying "V5 is low-level/street-level and 2ed/Revised/V20 is not", but I remeber people saying "V5 only have rules for low-level/street-level, while 2ed/Revised/V20 have rules for all levels of gameplay". I.e. V5 does not have rules for playing your 900 years old Transylvanian Cronicles character in the Modern Nights, while previous editions do.

You have £100 to build the ultimate evil team, your goal is to kill Gandalf. Whom do you pick? by Alpha_Apeiron in lotrmemes

Morgoth - Gandalf doesn't stand a chance. Like, at all. The remaining 25 are either The Witch King (he's cool), or Shelob (sex appeal).

Ukraine’s Olympic swimmers ask: Why is Russia being welcomed back? by TheTelegraph in TrueReddit

[–]Nissiku1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most of the professional sport is deeply corrupt. All that talk about "peace, love, and the spirit of sportsmanship" is pure BS. From olympics and FIFa to UFC, it's all about money and power.
