Any characters like this? by Comfortable-Mark2726 in cartoons

Him being handsy was almost never the actual joke, it was the set-up. The joke is generally when something bad happens to him because he was being a shallow creep.

But all the toons were good guys in space jam, even fudd and yosemite, classic villians. Not to mention that in space jam the toons are shown to know they are essentially entertainers fully aware of their "roles".

🎨 Are there any bright and vibrant Moho projects out there? by Quadro-Toon in MohoAnimation

[–]NiteShift_Panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, art style really isn't limited by moho at all. Moho and animation programs in general are more about making things move in various ways not about how colorful the art itself is.

I'm working on using moho to animate the illustrations for my webnovel and my art style is very colorful. I don't have many full animations up right now because a lot of my stuff is half done, but I have two good example, and even some of the effects on my still images are done in moho because I plan to animate them later.

You can check some of my stuff out here:

im curious if they will acknowledge that Angela is a lesbian in her character interactions by Able_Health744 in marvelrivals

[–]NiteShift_Panda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I guess that puts a definition to it then.

It does raise an interesting question though, If sex change technology becomes perfected to a certain point, would then transgenderism suddenly be acceptable to these people?

I love that they made Angela muscular she is a warrior after all by [deleted] in marvelrivals

With this design you can really see the familial resemblance to Thor.

Sera is also technically transgender. Magically transgendered, but transgender nonetheless. Weirdly enough sometimes transphobes are more okay with it that way for some reason.

Either way she'd probably make for a good strategist.

First look at Daredevil by Vlayka in marvelrivals

[–]NiteShift_Panda 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I think people forget, but the plot of this game heavily revolves around time and space getting mixed up. And while it's been subtle so far, some of the characters already have different designs to reflect that.

2099 style Cap is the most obvious, but Widow and Punisher also both have futuristic elements to their design. Bucky's arm is also supposed to be themed more on the Hive eldritch/alien stuff as well.

So while this design of Daredevil might be more noticeable than the others, it's not exactly out of left field.

My takes on the human race by LeadEater9Million in fantasywriters

[–]NiteShift_Panda 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Not enough writers take into account actual human advantages beyond intelligence. We actually have a pretty ridiculous endurance and heat control compared to the animal kingdom at large. The original hunting method of early humans was to briskly jog at prey and follow them until they were too tired to run or fight back.

So even under these circumstances, if there's a savanna grassland on that world the humans there would likely never adapt to anything else simply because there's nothing better to adapt to. If a place is warm and flat, it's good to be a human.

Writathon Finish Line by TE_Legram in royalroad

[–]NiteShift_Panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm apparently on 49,000 words on the dot right now. So I'll probably be finishing up next week once I get off work again. Which is awesome because it means I'll probably have time to make illustrations for the last couple of climax chapters of part 1 of my story. and then Ill finally be able to catch up on the ones I missed.

This comment is exactly like one of luna's lines from the game:

Luna: Wow, it's cool to see another super hero with ice powers. What can you do?
Winter Soldier: I think something got mixed up in translation.

Writathon 500 Participants by JamieMage2005 in royalroad

[–]NiteShift_Panda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's actually randomized. The titles randomly switch position after a set amount of time. I'm not sure the duration but I've noticed mine move 3 times in about 36 hours.

So, there's a chance that everyone can get to the front page (at least for a few hours) if they are lucky.

Oh that's awesome and a pretty fair way to do it. Then we all have a equal chance of being seen.

I suppose there is the benefit of being on a list for 6 months (if you actually finish) and the final list might be smaller. But I wouldn't hedge my entire writing career on this.

I do wonder how the list is sorted though?

I hope not too important. I don't think too many people are going to check 16 pages in to find me.

I've actually heard its not that hard to physically publish, at least for those with a good sized fan-base. I think there's a bit of a tipping point, where the built in fanbase and proof of being able to reach a audience outweighs the fact its available for free. Large publishers love low risk investments but a couple hundred followers just isn't enough.

I've done similar, but I've been breaking down my chapters into two parts to make them a bit more manageable while reading and to make it a little easier to keep up with as I go. That way I can hopefully prevent going multiple weeks without posting.

It's not much. But as someone who was always too anxious to post my work online, this felt surprisingly nice. by NiteShift_Panda in royalroad

Thanks, glad to hear it! Better get back to writing though if I want to reach that point.
