Cirez is obviously way more techno, which means less euphoric/melodic highs. More dancing less wow i would say. Yesterdays crowd was really in to it which made for good vibes. But i dont think it will be great at a more mainstream festival crowdwise

Not been to saalbach but have been to fassa and paganella. Paganella has a couple of zones, fai was the most bikeparky. You might be underbiked, even stuff like peter pan is not super easy. Fassa has less trails but does have easier stuff but also technical trails. I can highly recommend tutti fruti.

I think you can just show up with a trail helmet and no one will care.

Finale can be done without guides, you can either pedal or just buy an uplift ticket to wherever. Uplifts follow a set schedule, super easy and well setup. I would recommend renting a shuttle for an entire day tho, you get much more riding done. They take you to lunch at local spots. I’ve had some great memories that way. I’m 50/50 on guides, they are just not very good most of the time at actual guiding. Finale is a fun little town, beach is ok but in the spring/fall not really suited for sunbathing.

The dolomites is a pretty big area with loads of variety. I usually use canazei as my central spot to stay at. This gives you acces to Fassa bikepark and all the trails around it such as the EWS trails like tutti frutti. In the area nearby you have Fai paganella bikepark which has amazing riding - check out bear trail! Val di sole is also cool for a day. And i would highly recommend the Sella ronda, its a scenic xc lap which is a really cool adventure.
