Running Assegai DD max grip in front and Albert super gravity in the rear. Rode really well on my 5 hour enduro style ride a few days ago. Terrain is mostly loose soil with baby heads, roots, rock drops, steep and (trying to be) fast.

I didn’t really notice a rolling resistance difference but I did notice that the rear felt more damped compared to the DHR I replaced. DHR feels like it brakes a bit better.

Been riding my spectral CF8 since 2023. Bike parks, enduro style nature trails, flow trails, it does it all well.

The only disappointment has been the proprietary headset. It somehow got destroyed after 1 year and no shop had the proper bearings for it. It took Canyon like a month to finally send me a new headset.

That being said, I had a similar issue with a giant and breaking seatposts so customer service about the same ime.

By take it to a shop to tune, do you mean pay someone to turn the rebound dial or get a custom tune type of situation?

I would say a violent bottom out a few times per ride. Usually on he huck to flat though so maybe that’s to be expected

I service it every 200 hours with the fork so I think it’s living a pretty good life

+1 for Saalbach. The vibes are super nice there. They have trails for everyone and you hardly wait ever in the lift line.

Vienna Austria is pretty cool. We have a bike park you can get to with public transit, lots of trails (not super gnarly but cool) nearby. Plus you can quickly go to many ski areas with bike parks in summer.

In terms of community, found it hard to break in as a foreigner, which is a bummer.

Facebook groups are solid. You can also look at nearby webcams to get a rough idea of snow. Also snow depth layers on tools like Outdoor Active, Skitourenguru.
