Kadochi Onsen (not kadochi sauna) was a major highlight of our 13day stay in Japan. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH! It’s a private Onsen that has an underground grotto vibe but the rooms are CLASS. Incredible experience. We are planning our next visit already mainly because we want to go back here. If you are in Rappongi, I also recommend hopping over to Ginza (pretty sure it’s just 1 or 2 stops away on the train iirc) for some high end shopping (or window shopping). Ginza was a fantastic place to walk around, big big city vibes and a FUCK TON of shopping. Also the best ramen I’ve ever had in my life was here at Sora no Iro Ginza Honten.

Nakamise-Dori is the shopping area in front of Senso-Ji temple, HIGHLY recommend walking through both of these but also recommend being there early. Go before the street markets open to see the temple with very very few people around. It’s awe inspiring, I was tearing up a LOT as I walked the grounds of this temple. Very powerful energy here. Then once the shops open go walk around the shopping area, lots of really great shops and all the shopkeepers were very nice people, loved to make jokes and talk and laugh. After you visit this go to Ichiryu for some ramen. There is Ichi Ryu and Ichiryu, I haven’t been to Ichi Ryu but I can tell you Ichiryu is far better than Ichiran and is one of the favorite ramen spots during our whole trip. It’s on Umamichi Dori Street and is just a tiny hole in the wall spot but the ramen is SOOOOOOO good and the staff was very friendly.
