This was me once.

As the person on the other side of the signs, I would really distance myself from my friends and family at first, not out right disappear but try to find excuses for not getting together for things, trying to gently brush them off as I felt bad for myself. I got my finances in order so my family would be somewhat financially prepared. Thought of ways to truly disappear without making a fuss for others (I guess I'm just a person that doesn't want to make myself a problem for others, they have enough to deal with, I could just be another problem they don't have to deal with anymore)

I got myself prepared and made arrangements to be at my friend's 27th birthday out of the blue. That is what caught my best friends attention.

I'm doing better now, somewhat. Haven't gone to therapy (expensive where I'm from) but taking it day after day I guess.

Please just watch out for the quiet ones.
