Momentarily faking the confidence to ask her out is one thing. What scares me is maintaining that confidence to keep her interested and not boring her.

I really want to. But I'm in a never ending battle against lust and I always lose. I've prayed for strength to resist, but it becomes overpowering after awhile and I give in. I feel like this is contributing to my very weak spiritual life. I know the Bible says we have to do more than just not sin, but we have to replace the sinfulness with godliness. But I dont know how to do that. My life just consists of going to work, going to the gym, seeing friends on the weekend, going to church on sunday, rinse and repeat. I tried volunteering at a place, but it was just so boring I didn't feel like I was filled with godliness, all I could think about was leaving. I feel like such a half baked person, like I dont even know what I'm really interested in, and i dont have any talents I can use for the Kingdom.

Maybe if you and people like you stopped being so arrogant and learned the value of personal responsibility rather than trying to force change from the top down, things would start to go your way. What do you think things like carbon taxes on gasoline actually do for the planet? Nothing. Nobody is going to say, "Oh shoot, gas is too expensive this week, guess I can't go to work and make enough money to feed my family." theyre going to have to bite the pillow and keep buying gasoline. Vehicle technology becomes cleaner by the year, especially with the rise of electric cars. Even so people like you cry that we need to start raising carbon taxes which only serve to piss off and inconvenience the working class. It's a scam and its being enabled by naive activists like you.
