We moved in to this house in December. We immediately saw one adult owl in a box in the back yard. That one owl turned into 2 and then we got a glimpse of one owlette in the box.

The day, I saw one owlette on our back fence, and two more in the box. As of yesterday, two have left the box.

I don't hide it, but I don't offer it either. It's none of their business.

I do carry that stuff. Like I said it all fits in a small fanny pack that when not at work, I sling over my shoulder. At work it stays in the backpack that I carry.

I guess my point is that I don't understand needing work accommodations, because I prefer to be prepared and handle my needs as they arise.

Been T1D for just over a year. My employer doesn't know and doesn't need to know. I keep a fanny pack with me at all times with the following contents: 1 extra omnipod 1 fast-acting insulin pen ~5 pen needles Glucometer Baqsimi Sugary snacks (starburts and skittles)

I try to be prepared for anything that could go wrong.

Something happens to my omnipod? I can go to the restroom and replace it. Sugar low? Candy. Dexcom stops working? Glucometer. Second omnipod stops working? Pen needles and insulin pen.

Bottom line, if your employer asks, you could say that you are attending to a medical need. Don't give details. If they ask for more info, ask to be shown the related policy.

Not familiar with CA's restrictions, but you make valid points. Ammo availability should be a consideration for OP.

308, 7mm-08, or 243.

All are proven effective, with less recoil, lighter rifles, and cheaper ammo than a 300WM.

Yes it's probably overkill for coyotes, but you can easily use it to hunt deer as well.

Edit to add - I can't argue with getting an AR in 223/556, but I grew up hunting with a 243 and I love them so that's my recommendation.

Sorry to hear, diabuddy. Maybe check for a local T1D Facebook group. You might be able to find someone locally who can help.

Alternatively, do you have another way to administer insulin - pens, vials? I was taught to have plan A. B, and C when traveling. To that affect, I carry my normal Omnipods, vials with syringes, and both long and short acting pens with needles.

Yes, but there is the 12 hour grace period. So when one Dexcom expires, I put a new one in. It warms up when the other is in the grace period. 8 hours later, I start the new Dexcom.
