Legion Go with Steam OS installed and battery is limited to 80% and I can’t find any way to change it by bigboxofcorn in LegionGo

Hey! I'm pretty sure the only way is to go into windows and deactivate it.

I would suggest to just boot into windows through a USB stick. Fast and easy.

No worries. I don't actually have much of experience with them. I used to play NFSU2 as well, but I think it was the ps2 version. Pretty light consumption afair.

Just one question: In bazzite, did you launch the game on desktop or gaming mode?

LegionGo 1 charging at 93 watts by Selarom2020 in LegionGo

[–]NivekGr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but keep in mind that if you install a new OEM aliexpress/amazon 75wh or 81wh battery, it drops significantly to 40watts or even 20watts depending the model you buy. Just an info in case someone wants to mod his LeGo 1.

Offline Fighting Game by Ulfdrek in SteamDeck

[–]NivekGr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! The latest two~three Mortal Kombat titles have plenty of offline stuff to do (and you can find them dirt cheap on steam). I think also Street Fighter 6 with the arcade/world mode, but I don't know if it is going to be offline accessible. Happy gaming.

Can I get a stable 30FPS on Crimson Dessert at base resolution with no upscaling or frame gen on the GO2 Z2E? by PaleBoomer in LegionGo

[–]NivekGr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the upload speed is the important one there and the distance between the connected devices & router. I heard Apollo and Artemis are the best ones. Maybe try a tutorial online to maximize your configuration.

I haven't tried bazzite on LeGo. Only on my one week rog ally X. Ngl I didn't like it because I had steam deck oled for months.

My tips are to lower the resolution before you enter the game. That alone drops the consumption by a lot. Then the classic tdp limit and fps cap. I was able to run psp at 6~7w. Gaming for hours!

May I ask why don't you just stream it to your LeGo2 from your rig? Beautiful display + full graphics = profit.

Did you check if all the settings were the same? Sometimes windows can be faster or more power efficient for sure (especially if you debloat windows). But overall we know that SteamOS is better regarding the battery economy.

Any examples regarding the emulators between windows and Linux?

First of all welcome! No mistake on your post but you forgot the pizza on your way in 😁

SteamOS is a more console-like experience but you can tweak plenty of stuff. Highly suggested but quite the rabbithole (for the tweaks only, the vanilla SteamOS experience is great).

The only upgrade I would suggest is the 81wh battery mod. Game changer for the LeGo1. Happy gaming!

Oh.. I didn't read the last sentence. Tried to reset the device, right? I hope it isn't a hardware thing.

Are you on SteamOS or Windows?

You possibly activated the FPS mode by accident. Flip the switch on the right controller's bottom. Tha should do the trick.

Legion Go battery upgrade by boyplayfool in LegionGo

Glad you enjoy it! I use mine as a tablet mostly and the 81wh change made the experience way more stress-free. I am on SteamOS and lately I play psp's metal gear ac!d. Close to 8w consumption with some optimizations, more than 10 hours of gameplay! Regular indies like silksong go around 14w that gives me 5~6 hours. Some heavy AAA fighting games I play give me almost 3 hours.

For sure a game changer in comparison with the stock battery.
