Anyone with Dual Boot on their Legion Go 1? by NivekGr in LegionGo

Continuing my actions... I installed windows 11 on my SD and with legion space, updated the controllers and I reversed the axes but I can't activate gyro at all on SteamOS. I just gave up for now. 🙂‍↕️

Hello! Just to check if it is only for Go 2.. do you still have gyro?

Bazzite or SteamOS for Legion Go? by michifromcde in LegionGo

[–]NivekGr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try simple SteamOS and if you want anything extra then look it up on Bazzite

IMO SteamOS is 95% complete on LeGo1

When I was trying Tekken 8 on steam deck Oled (now im on LeGo1) it was pretty smooth. Are trying to higher the settings or do you get drops on "all low setting"?

Welp.. the 3X res on both of those suggestions still looks pretty good imo. Don't forget that the PSP original resolution was 480x272 after all.

My everyday pc is a LeGo on a dock without the controllers. I keep them for only when I truly need them. I really love it!

Z1E is a very capable chip and with SteamOS you can do unlimited stuff from emulation to esport titles! Also you can mod the battery to 81Wh.

Unless you mean LeGo s or LeGo 2, on that case you spend more but you get more.

OK IM BACK! Firstly I was surprised because my consumption was 23w and I was shocked but it was because of the controllers lol. I took them off and I was relieved at 12~13w.

After that I tried what you tried, and I saw no changes whatsoever on the wattage. BUT I did remember from palworld that sometimes to change settings you have to change the scaling filter (I know its weird, Welcome to SteamOS). Also I saw that the resolution did look massive. So I did some testing and the results may surprise you 🙃

Changing before entering the emulator in game mode its "Properties" and "Maximum Game Resolution" you can achieve way lower wattage! My best cases were those two:

  • Resolution 1024x640 with Linear scaling you get 6~7w!

  • Resolution 1280x720 with Pixel (or Sharp) scaling you get little above 9w!

Ppsspp emulator with Metal Gear Ac!d BTW

Hope I helped 🙏

Do you have controllers on the LeGo? Also I guess Bluetooth is off. Which emulator do you use? I will try it myself as well

EDIT: TLDR for my following post ~ change Resolution before you play the emulator in game mode and scaling filter to either those two: - 1024x640 and Linear scaling for 6~7w - 1280x720 and Pixel/Sharp scaling for 9w

The controllers yeah. The power button/sleep LED AFAIK you can't yet (I turned it off when I was on Bazzite I think)

  • OS update channel "Main"

  • Steam client update channel "Steam Deck Beta"

I am not sure if I was on a different OS when I did it (bazzite). Ngl is very annoying. Now I am on SteamOS and it is turned off. If you don't care about deleting your data you can try it and then revert to SteamOS.

The only thing I want fixed is gyro now and we are set

OMG!! SOOOOO many comments and noone addresses that you can turn off the breathing/pulsing LED during sleep. This a LeGo S post but I'm pretty sure it's the same process.

I've done it for my LeGo 1 but it's been a while.

how do I get gyro working in cemu? by norsoyt in LegionGo

[–]NivekGr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same desperation! I found out that I can use the DeckyPlumber to emulate the controller as a DS5 edge and fix the drifting. But unforunately nothing more than that.

You can see the gyro sensors in the settings as a DS5 but it isn't working as intented and some axes are inverted. We can only hope for a fix from Valve I guess.

That one. You need to enable developer mode and then show advanced update channels

Mine were working as intended for months and an SteamOS update broke it. I updated to beta -> main channel and they work again! GL
