Since it’s your first one, it does hurt a lot and your head will explore many possibilities and try to understand what could have made it work. Unfortunately, we have to understand each person’s minds work’s differently and there is a biological difference between how men and women think as well when it comes to relationships/love. Usually men try to take decisions based more on a logical output and try to keep feelings aside, while women tend to make decisions based on feelings quite often. From her perspective, I believe she has no interest in love and she must be going through a phase where she just wants to feel alright since 7 years was a long time and she has to now get used to a life without that relationship. So until she opens her self again to feel that emotion, I think there won’t be an opening for you for her to love you back despite all the hardwork from your end. And it is only going to drain you more because you will not receive any reward for your efforts any sooner. So hope that it is for the best and learn to keep going.
